How many of you are believers in Essential Oils? If so, why? What is your favorite brand? What is your favorite oil? What do you use as a diffuser for the oils?? Thank you in advance!

What can I do next?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE essential oils! I purchase mine from doTerra and they are amazing! My diffuser was about $100.00 and the oils i purchased were lavender and one called Breathe. The lavender i use for my autistic child when she is overwhelmed and anxious. It calms her down and then i use the breathe for anyone in my family who is showing signs of a cold. About two nights of using the diffuser at night, cold symptoms seems to fade away! I love it! And yes i totally believe they work!

I am an IPC with doTERRA and I couldn't be happier with them. Like Young Living, they have many proprietary blends that are used for specific issues (Immune support, respiratory blend, calming blends, etc). They are certified pure, therapeutic grade and can be taken aromatically, topically and / or internally (as directed). doTERRA is actually a break-off company from YL...team members had been concerned about YL's leadership making questionable business decisions and decided to strike out on their own. I think both company's products are excellent, but I am highly impressed with the degree of professional integrity I've seen in doTERRA.

Using the oils has changed our family's whole approach to wellness. From an emotional standpoint, they have contributed to healthier feelings and thoughts through pregnancy, labor, delivery and post-partum. They have helped me be calm and relaxed, fight germs in our house, helped us kick illness (even those from viruses - EOs can penetrate viral cells!), contributed to better sleep, and combats mood swings. They are my "go-to" for pretty much everything. My favorites:

Balance Grounding Blend (helps w/anxiety, moods)
Wild Orange (amazing, uplifting scent)
On Guard Protective Blend (antibacterial, antiviral, antimicrobial)
Melaleuca (great for all skin issues, anti-fungal)
Lavender (calming, sleep, burns / stings)
Breathe Respiratory Blend (colds, coughs, allergies, asthma)

The oils seem expensive, which is why it's worth it to sign up so you can get them wholesale. There is no pressure to sell anything, but the potential is there to use the business to supplement your income if you're interested. The economy is in the following considerations:

-You only use 1-2 drops at a time in most cases. A typical 15mL bottle has over 250 drops

- Every oil is extremely versatile, good for everything from first aid, sleep aids, digestive issues, moods...even cooking and cleaning!

-Members of the Loyalty Rewards Program earn points back (product credits) on every order, which increases by 5% every three months, maxing out at 30%.

I'm a believer and most of the people who try these oils are as well...as evidenced by how easily they fall in love and start talking about signing on. =)

I'd be happy to give you more info - PM me if you're interested!

I use Young Living oils. I'm not sure I'm "a believer" but at times, they do seem to help. My favorites are Thieves as an illness fighter, Lavender for just about anything including better sleep and fewer allergies, Peppermint and Lemon to wake me up. Most essential oil companies DO have warnings that they're not for use on skin or can't be ingested. That's why I like Young Living - they're pure and can be diffused (which I do - I bought the diffuser in the Young Living starter package; it was a good value), put on skin (I do this too), and ingested (I do this too - daily dose of lavender, peppermint, and grapefruit).

I'm not sure I 'believe in' essential oils. They are nice, but many of them have many warnings one should heed. Some should not be used on the skin, or during pregnancy, etc. A nice scent is a nice scent, to be sure, but I am a skeptic-- if I have a real problem, I'll likely go see a doctor or therapist instead of busting out a diffuser.

I might wear a little lavender or use it or bergamot to scent bath salts. Love sandalwood to wear (hate patchouli, too many people use it as an alternative to bathing) and when my friend wears amber, I want to just stand there and sniff her. I don't really use it in a diffuser-- just put a few drops into a bath. When my son was little, he had a small square of cloth with lavender oil on it to keep the monsters away. :)

I'm not an expert by any stretch and I've never used a diffuser (I have a friend with one).

I love Thieves Oil on the bottoms of our feet when a cold is brewing.

I love Lavender for sleepiness/calm at night.

I use a Young Living combo called "Valor" that I really like.

My Thieves and Valor are by Young Living and I have some other oils from a regular brand on Iherb.com (can't remember the name of the manufacturer). I'm not sure I buy into all the hoop-la around Young Living, but I have liked the two oils from YL mentioned above.
