This is why I buy the kits with 2 tests in it... so I can take one when I am anxious, then take one a week or two later just in case the first is negative. You never know! I never have symptoms the first few weeks, I just have that 'feeling'.
First of all i would like to say i have called my dr and am waiting on a call back. with that said, i have the Emplanon in my arm bit it expired back in November. my cycles are usually 10 days and last month i had two. my husband and i had intercourse two days after my first cycle ended and about a week after that. and then a few days after my second cycle ended which was the beginning of this month. my question is this, since im not having any symptoms, do i wait to take a test or should i take one now? The two cycles last month threw me off so i dont
know if i count my last one for this month since it ended this month. sorry so long and personal. thanks in advance.
sorry for confusion, my period is 10 days not my cycle. my
dr is concerned that i bleed so long and thinks i need to get it checked but said if i am not having symptoms then i can wait. yes i still have the birth control in my arm and yes it is expired. thanks for the input so far

If it were me, I would test now and if its neg, test again later.
If you need to test now just to get it over with then do so but I would hold off - get the ones from the dollar store they are just as effective!
The offbrand test at our supermarket is like 2 for $3. I'm not sure I understand the question.
You are confusing me a bit...are you saying your period is 10 days or is your whole cycle only 10 days including your days of your period?
A cycle is counted from the first day of your period to the the day before your next period starts...that is a cycle. Your period is a part of that cycle not a separate thing.
Anyway it wont hurt to test. And I want to suggest reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility so you can learn all you can about your body.
So, you've still got the BC in your arm (although based on the "expiration date" it's no longer effective) & you're not even technically late yet, right? I wouldn't drop even a single dime on an at-home test quite yet, but that's just me.
