When I get massages, I tell her to stay away from that area. I'm just tender there... No sharp pains though...
Hello everyone! fourteen yrs ago I had an epiduryl(I think that is how you spell it)and I was wondering if anyone has ever had any problems since having it. I have had a pain in my back on my right side, towards the middle of my back. Sometimes it hurts so bad it takes my breath away. I am trying to narrow down the cause. It could be anything really. That thought just crossed my mind. What do you all think?
Thank you all so much for your advice. I really appreciate your advice and experience. You know I realized the other night that it really bothers me the most when I lay down at night to go to sleep. Whenever I turn from side to side or when I go to get up out of bed. I have never had this before, it is the craziest thing. I will be ok once I get to moving. I did see my Dr and he wanted me to take a muscle relaxer which did not help and yes I did go see a Chiro and that was the best massage but when he went to adjust my back I almost hit the roof. I haven't gone back since. I will let you all know further what else I find out.
Many thanks, Raquel

my "baby" is 30 yrs. old and i had one and my back has hurt ever since. the worst part is they couldn't get it in right, kept trying, decided it wasn't going to work and ended up knocking me out and giving me a c-section. i would never recommend it to anyone.
I had one with my daughter almost 13 years ago, and I have had back problems ever since. I go to the Chiropractor about once a month and it helps alot.

About 8 years ago I had my youngest child and required a Ep to help manage my pain during delivery. It seems the older you get the worse it hurts. Luckily I haven't had any issue with back pain. To me it sounds like you need to go to your doctor and request an MRI or CAT scan of that area of your back to see if there is any nerve damage and go from there. Good luck!
My back is always hurting and I don't know what the cause is and yes I did have one too.I'm not sure that is what the problem is but my back is always hurting especially when it rains real bad.
Hi Raquel,
Well I havent had the Epi for too long. I just had it 4 months ago, but I feel like since my delivery my body aches especially on the lower right side oof my back. I was thinking of going and getting a`body massage hoping it gets better.
Hi Raquel,
My name is A. and I have never had one but I do have a very sharp pain right beneath my or should I say right in the center of my upper stomach, and it hurts from the front to the back of my back so bad, I believe it is an olser, and it is is caused by Acid reflex, I have had gone and had x-rays and they determine that it is that, so have it checked.

I would go see a Urologist and make sure your kidneys sre ok. If everything checks out. Try using a Chiropractor. My back hurt for 6 months and I finally listened to a friend and went. Oh my gosh! I wish I had gone months ago. It was worth every penny. Sometimes insurance will pay. Good luck.
HI Raquel,
I has a similar problem after my daughter was born ( 2nd epi), and it turned out it was a kidney stone! They are very common in women. I went to a few Dr's and they said nothing, FINALLY I wen to see a Urologist and they figured it out! It was not just a dull pain like what you would feel from the aftermath of an epi, it was as you said " Breath taking" ! I would go see a Dr!
Hope that helps:( and hope you feel better!
