Environmental Doctors for Child with Tics

So happy to have found this website. My 5 year old daughter has been displaying mild tics for about a year now. We've done the Neuro Doctor with the only advice being meds if the tics get out of hand - not an option for us! I have read a lot about homeopathic and natural methods to eliminate or lessen the tics. Many families have had much success with eliminating environmental exposures as well as diet changes. I would like to find a good Environmental Doctor in the area to have a full battery of tests done to check for these sensitivities. Does anyone know of anyone they can refer?

What can I do next?

Call Dr. Wasson. He's in Naperville and is all about homeopatic methods. His number is ###-###-####. He is awesome and when you call, just let them know your concerns. They will be able to tell you if it's something he can help with.

Good luck.

I don't know an environmental doctor, but if you are familiar with a chiropractor, they may be able to point you in the right direction. We see dr. ken olson in aurora. He is very big on natural treatments, so there must be others out there that can help.

Hello K.,

I am wondering if the chiropractor that my family has been going to would be able to help you in any way. His name is Dr. John Turner and he is located in Glendale Heights. He is a Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist and has been practicing for more than 25 years. He does MSA's - wondering if this could help check for sensitivities? You might want to call him and see if he could help you. He is wonderful with children.

Also, our school, Four Winds Waldorf School in Warrenville is hosting 2 talks in March. On 3/9 Dr. Turner and Ms. Pirtle will be speaking about Nutrition and on 3/12 Janet Oliver will be speakng about Body Space Awareness and Learning. I could foward you the flyers for both talks if you wish.

If you wish to to learn more about Janet Oliver and Associates’
Fusion: Sensory-Motor-Reflex go to www.planforlearning.com and

Hope this helps!

Take care,
A.

If you are in the Chicago area, R.C. DuMont out of Loyola. He sees patients in Oakbrook and Maywood. He is an MD who specialized in pediatrics and gastroenterology. The last decade, he has been head of the pediatric alternative medicine program at Loyoloa. He uses Homeopathy, Chinese medicine and acupuncture. Being both an MD and a practicioner of the alternative medicine world, he will run the necessary medical tests and treat accordingly with homeopathy, Chinese Herbs, and accupuncture as is appropriate. Good bonus: inurance covers him because he is an MD.
