Endometrial Ablation - Ballwin,MO

Has anyone had an endometrial ablation? I had one a little over a year ago and all was great. I had very minimal bleeding for a day or two each month. For the past two months, I've had light bleeding for 4-5 days each week, along with lots of cramping. Has anyone been through anything similar?? I would call my Dr., but he retired, so does anyone have any recommendations for a OB-GYN in the Chesterfield/Ballwin area? I would prefer a Dr. with only 1 or 2 partners that keeps appointments close to on time!
Thanks!

Hi J.. I have the the surgery a little over two years ago. I still only have light bleading for a day or two each month except for the last month I had some break through. And now I am starting to get cramps very often. My GYN is at MO-Bap, and I don't believe he is taking any new patients. I would definately get into see someone soon. I know how frustrating the bleeding / cramping are. That is why I had the surgery in the first place. Hopefully someone could reccomend a good dr. on here.
Good luck, M.

I recommend Dr. Eric Colton he is the St. Johns Medical Center Tower A. He is great! and has evening appointments once a week and I think there are only 2 other doctors in his practice. Good Luck!

I wanted to recommend a great OB. His name is Dr. Branson. His number is 991-BABY. He delivered 3 of my children. He is personable, polite, and has children of his own he loves to brag on as well as listening to you bragging on your kids. Everyone in his office is courteous and has been there a while. There is a pleasent atmosphere when you walk in. I've had him for over 11 years now and he remembers everything. He will listen to your problem and take everything seriously. He is located on New Ballas close to St. Johns hospital. I would call him right away.

Hi J.,

I had this done last April (almost a year ago) I live in ballwin and my Obgyn is at St. Johns. He is very good and has a good reputation. His name is Christopher Ahlering.
I was one of the fortunate ones, I don't have periods anymore and it is wonderful! Dr. Chris did mine. As for the appointments on time, they usually are, but things do come up....there may be a mother giving birth next door at the hospital, but he is right back after each birth.
Hope this helps.

Dr. Richard Gimpelson, in magazine as one of top physicians. Does everything possible to prevent hysterectomy and has many patents on new instruments. Carol is Nurse Practitioner and she is wonderful, too. He uses a brand new painless procedure that involves electromagnetic shockwaves....no ice or scraping. He does it all in his office as an outpatient procedure. He tries to save the uterus and does not do hysterectomies.

Dr. David Levine does great hysterectomies. My neighbor went to him and he did it through endoscopy. No visible scars and she was not in much pain afterwards.

Both are specialists and there is no waiting. They are not OB's.

Both are at Saint Luke's which is at 141 and Ladue. Both could probably get you in right away.

I have recently seen Dr. Jennifer Richards at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield. She also has an office in South County. I was told that the appointments there in Chesterfield are not as busy as the ones in South County.
