Does anyone know of a good endocrinologist in or around Houston? I have asked this before and was given one name but he isn't covered by my insurance (BCBS). I'm having a really difficult time with hypothyroidism. Thanks.
The one who has been treating me for 15 years is Dr. Russell Weidman, with the Texas Institute for Repro Medicine & Endocrinology located at 7400 Fannin, ###-###-####. That is close to, but not inside the main Medical Center area.
Dr. Petak is on Fannin and is at Texas Women's Hospital. He doesn't have a warm bedside manner, but seems very intelligent and is very to the point. His office staff is very good and I would recommend him. I have BCBS, so you should be covered!
