The water park is the best part! It's fun. Not super clean (compared to Disneyland for example)... but worth a trip for the day. It's definitely small enough to do everything you want to in one day.

I grew up in Boulder and we were taken to Lakeside Park & Elitch Gardens at least twice a year ...... they're both wonderful - we never could decide which park we liked best, so we went to both (1 each time). Wonderful memories! ! ! !

I liked Lakeside better in the evening, because you could take boat rides at night - it was always SO beautiful to look back and see all the lights of the park and July 4th was just awesome - watching the fireworks from the boat!

Enjoy!
