my daughter who is now a year started having bad eczema at 2 months old. It was so bad that her skin was cracked everywhere because it was so dry. We had to keep her covered from hear to toe and she was born in May- she wore a hat all summer because her head was horrible. She was also constantly getting sick. She saw a great dermatologist at columbia who my other children have seen. They did immune system testing, zinc testing, and allergy testing. She was allergic to everything (wheat, milk, milk protein, eggs, hazelnuts, squash) except soy so I cut everything out of my diet- I lived on fruit, meat or chicken, rice, potatoes, and sweet potatoes. It was not easy but she would not take a bottle so I had to nurse her. The diet did not help, her skin did not clear up. They gave her prescription creams. I was putting on 8 different creams 2-4 times a day. The allergist recommended a cream from Israel called Clear Cream a pharmacy in Brooklyn carries it. It works amazingly well. 3 days later her skin was clear. You apply twice a day and it really works so well. It is also only natural products. On my daughter's head we used mineral oil and then we would comb it to get the cradle cap off and put on the cream there. good luck!
