Hello Ladies,
When you are shopping on Ebay, are you more likely to purchase an item that is listed with the Ebay Giving Works knowing that some of your money is going to a worthy cause? And are you more likely to pay more for the item than you would otherwise?
Thank you for your time.

hey there!!
I'm an ebay buyer and seller.
If you have the item I want and it doesn't matter to M. if there's a charity involved...
I will pay what I feel the item(s) is worth. I bid to what my max is. I don't pay attention to the charity side of it - sorry.
I pay attention to the sellers feedback score, the shipping costs, etc. As as seller I realize ebay is a business - seriously - it costs money for the envelopes, paper, ink, tape, time, batteries for the camera and my time is NOT free. I typically add $1.00 to shipping to help cover those costs as well as the ebay and paypal fees (URGH!! Don't get M. started on that one - ebay owns paypal so they get paid TWICE!!! for one item!!!) URGH!!!
I am not willing to pay more for an item because it is attached to a charity....When I shop on ebay (I sell also) it is usually to find a good deal. I pay attention to the shipping cost and current bid. I like when people have a few pictures at different angles. Ultimately, the the only thing that will make M. pay more for an item depends on how bad I want that item and how hard it is to find and obtain.
No. I probably should, but I shop ebay to get good deals. I donate to charities I choose instead of ones attached to things I want to buy.
No and no. I am not planning on using it when I start listing this Spring.
No, the only reason I shop on Ebay is to save money. If that end is not accomplished I don't buy from Ebay. I am finding myself more frustrated with that site because it is harder to find good deals. I was looking at boutique outfits for my 16 month old and some seller had the nerve to have a buy it now price of 57.00 for a USED dress. It was also a Or best offer and I almost typed in $10.00 even though I knew it would be rejected J. as a message that she was asking too much money.
To tell you the truth, when I'm thinking about buying on eBay, I notice the price (how the bidding is going), the condition of the item, and the shipping. I don't often stop to notice whether the seller is donating some of the profits.
When I sell, sometimes I do participate in the eBay Giving Works. There is a particular organization I like to send some of my profits (such as they are) to. But I do it because I want to, not because it might impress somebody.
Nope. If I'm on ebay I'm looking for a deal and paying far more attention to customer ratings and feedback than any charity.
If I want to donate to charity, I'll specifically do that. Also, for local events, I will sometimes choose something that will give back to charity over another brand/event.
Ebay shoppers are there for the uniqueness of the item and price, otherwise they would go with a retail store. Charities hold low importance to ebay shoppers.
No. If I buy something it's for the lowest price and shipping I can find.
I don't mix shopping with charity at all and I get very annoyed with places that try to put the two together. Begging is not effective advertising.
No. I buy A LOT on Ebay. And I never look for that... in fact it deters M. sometimes because I don't know if I will agree morally with where the money is going.
I shop on EBAY to get a good deal. That's always the bottom line for M.. I calculate cost plus shipping and bid on the cheapest item I can find. Although sometimes I am in a hurry so the Buy It Now option is really nice. I will pay more for the option to get it fast rather than waiting a few days for an auction to close.
