you could try using cheese on veggies and meat. Make brushing teeth fun. maybe get one of those batterie operated toothbrushes. Make a game out of it.
ok its been awhile since i have had a toddler so how can i get my ds to eat veggies, and meat. he atomatically says he doesn't like it. so then dinner becomes a hassle. then there is the brushing teeth. he refuses to get into a habit of brushing his teeth please help.

We used to resort to dips, ranch, ketchup, bbq whatever we could get them to use, for veggies we used extra butter(they love the butter) and raw ones ranch. We would try to make it fun so they could dip it, using shish k bob sticks, or we bought kid chopsticks that are together they thought they were fun. We enventually weaned off the butter and stuff as they aged. Where do you live in nashville? We are in spring hill. Also they get a ton of protein from cheese and milk and other things so dont stress about the meat, if they are really not in to it.About the teeth, put a chart on a piece of paper and let him put a sticker next to the day when he does it, they love those stickers and rewards!

Hi S., The eating dinner thing used to be an issue when my now 3 year old was 2. He refused to eat anything without sugar in it. We have since changed his diet and now he loves pork chops and chicken. He will not eat red meat though so we dont fix that too much. It is not good for you anyway. But one thing I did was I stopped giving him snacks after 3 and then we eat dinner at 6. He started eating when he was hungry. He still struggles with potatoes and green beans but he did try some last night. It takes time and patience and fun. Let him know that he will not get anything els before bed unless he wants to finish hsi dinner. That works too. And just save the plate for him to eat from before bed. He will eventually come around. But it has taken mine about 6 months. So be patient!!
i don't know about the eating healthy part because i'm in the same boat as you are there, but as far as the brushing I know my son enjoys brushing his teeth alot more with those spinning brushes instead of the manual ones. He says it tickles his teeth lol
Sorry I can't be of much help but I definitely know what you're going through... my 2-year-old daughter is the same way- on both issues! To make matters worse, my husband is a dentist so you'd think she'd be better about brushing her teeth. How ironic!
where do you live? Just keep reinforcing the tooth brushing thing. you'll probalby have to do that until your child is a teenager, haha. As for the food, just give him the things that he will eat, (as long as it isn't all junk food) it took a while for my son to start eating good foods, until he did, i just kept giving him the same healthy food (the things that he would eat) over and over until i guess he decided that he wanted something different and began to try new things.
Hi S.! My 7 yr old son still does not care for most meats. If he likes peanut butter, give it to him as much as he will eat it. You can also try anything with beans or eggs. They are also meat substitutes. I also worried about my son not eating and our doctor said to give him whatever he will eat (as long as it is not junk foods). He said that alot of times, if you let them come around on their own they will start eating different things. My son now eats steak, pork chops, & hamburgers. As for the veggies, try just giving him raw cut up veggies instead of cooked. My son will eat carrot sticks but not cooked carrots.
Good luck with the habit of tooth brushing. My oldest is almost 10 and I have to still tell him every morning and night to brush his teeth. You are just going to have to make sure that it is done every day. Most kids don't just get in the habit of doing it without Mom telling them.
S.,
You can try things like sneaking certain veggies in the foods he likes for instance if he like soups, try vegetable soup or if he will eat chili, try to mix some green peas in it or macaroni and cheese put some carrots and peas in it or even Ham in the mac and cheese, being sneaky might just pay off!
Also, my little one (2yrs old) is learning about brushing and is excited about it, I bought him a spongebob step stool to use during potty time and to brush his teeth, he likes the character and is excited to use it also to give them more practice and to keep things interesting not to mention mess free, give him his tooth brush (with toothpaste on it) while he is in the bathtub! Works for mine, maybe it will work for yours!
Good Luck
