I know you said you'd already made Shepherd's pie but here's another one.
Beef and Potato Burritos.
Cube one potato and cook in 2 tsp oil till soft.
Add 1 medium onion and cook till onions are see thru if you already have browned meat, or add the meat and onion to the potato skillet, cook until meat is browned.
1 can diced tomatoes undrained - we prefer petite diced
2 tsp cumin and 1 tbs chili powder or 1 seeded jalapeno.
Simmer until the juice from the tomatoes has thickened.
Serve on tortillas or taco shells.
do you have brown gravy mix, a canned veggie, and potatoes (or mashed potatoes in a box?) you can do like a semi-shepherd's pie. i was craving it tonight but didn't have the ingredients - i made a chicken one, with cream of chicken gravy, green peas, and topped with mashed potatoes. it was close enough :) lol.
Another recipe to keep in mind....
Ground Beef, onion, cream of mushroom soup, mushrooms (optional), liquid (water or milk) to thin, salt, pepper, paprika, to taste. You can stop there and put that over rice OR you can add 1/2 sour cream and 1/2 cup red wine to make a tastier dish to put over rice.
barbeque sauce and cheese mixed in the meat! i like mine open pit sauce. but any kind will do. make sandwiches with the meat. good luck
meat, rice, beans, cheese! we scoop it with tortillas, YUM!
next time you do that i suggest sloppy joes. ketchup, garlic salt, and a little sugar. super easy and yummy!
Shepard's pie is really easy. Mix gravy into the meat as well as a can of veggies. Put it in a deep enough casserole pan. Put mashed potato on top. Put it in the oven to brown the mashed potato and it's ready to serve. You can sprinkle a little paparika on top if you want to.
Mix with can of diced tomatoes and taco mix. Pour in casserole dish. Cover with premade cornbread. Top with cheese and onion crisps/rings.
