Do you do the easter bunny thing and how old are your kids? My kids are 7, almost 6 and 2 and I am thinking my oldest are going to see through a bunny who walks and hides baskets real soon... but at the same time if I admit the bunny then I feel like they will figure out santa/tooth fairy etc. Just curious...

What can I do next?

I do the Easter Bunny - but my kids are much younger (3 and 18 months).

My cousin's older daughter "caught" Santa this winter (age 8). They brought her in on the secret, and now she helps be the tooth fairy to her younger sisters. She has kept it pretty well.

Yes we do... my kids are 5 and 3. We leave out cookies, eggs and carrots (just like you leave out cookies for Santa).

My 5 year old pretty much knows it's just pretend (including Santa), but he still loves it, and loves pretending for his younger brother.

Whether they believe or not, all kids love baskets of candy! Trust me they play along. :)

Mine never saw the bunny put things out. I would put their baskets in the frontroom or on their beds while they slept or hurry into the house to put them out if we went out first. My husband would distract them while I through eggs outside and hid a bunch. I make it easy to get some but others they have to search for. This year should be fun since now my 3 yr old can have her turn. She did not quite get the point last year. Picked up one egg and sat down to open it.

I do baskets for my 23-year-old and 13-year-old. They never believed in the Easter bunny, but they love getting baskets. Your 7-year-old is getting close to the age where he/she will figure it all out. You then have to tell him/her to help you keep it a secret and make it fun for the little ones.

We've never promoted the Easter bunny thing in our house; although we've always given our daughter (5 yo) an Easter basket. I have a hard enough time lying about Santa; a huge bunny seems ridiculous (not that Santa isn't, haha!)
