Bridges, which is located on the north side of Brown Road just west of Power Road. It is a great school. The kids learn some spanish and sign language and are really advanced by the time they get to first grade. It is a bit expensive, but now that kindergarten will only be half day it is worth it. I have one child at Bridges and two at Red Mountain Ranch Elementary. If you want full day at Red Mountain Ranch it will cost you $65.00 a week. Red Mountain Ranch, Las Sendas and Falcon Hill are all good public schools.

Hi K., My daughter that is in 2nd grade goes to a great charter school, small class sizes, which we love! Great school community. It's called Santan Learning Center and it's located at Power and Elliot, in a huge church. I can't remember the name of it right now. But we are very happy with the school and I think they still might have some openings.

Good luck.

Oh the site is www.santanlearningcenter.com

I have been on this quest for the past year and I have found a few great schools! My son will be starting kindergarten in the fall at Zaharis Elementary School on Ellsworth and McKellips. They have a more hands-on approach for learning and I am very excited that they had room for him (he will be going with a boundary exception.

He also started this school year at Leading Edge Academy on Ellsworth and Southern and we were actually very pleased with his academic and social success. It is a fairly small charter school, that currently meets at a church facility. We pulled our son out of the school, only because it was not a good fit for HIM. It is a back to basics school and there were a lot of worksheets and not very many hands-on activities. I loved his teacher, loved the staff and loved the art and music program. It just wasn't for us. The day was also pretty long for him, but from what I hear, there probably won't be full day kindergarten next year anyway. I hope this helps!

I highly recommend checking into the Franklin campuses. They are public schools, yet are alternative choice schools. There are two east Mesa campuses, Franklin Northeast on Power and Adobe, and Frankin South on Southern and Higley.
It is a back to basics program, with an accelerated curriculum. Classrooms are structured, well-disciplined, and the teachers are highly proficient. There is many opportunities for music, PE, computers, art, library etc as well. Franklin students repeatedly have some of the highest test scores in the state and are well-prepared for the higher grades. I have had students in Franklin for 11 years now and this is our last year. I love the staff, the teachers and the environment. They welcome parent involvement and I encourage you to set up a time to go visit a kindergarten classroom so you can see for yourself. Good luck!
