Tell the school to tell her to keep them in & use the eraser top of a pencil (cut it off) & stick it on the back of the earing. Just pierce the eraser. This
should work until she gets home.
My daughter got her ears pierced about 8 weeks ago and lost the back of her earring at school. The school just called me b/c she was freaking out b.c she thought her hole would close. It won't close in 3 hours will it? I could run another set to her if needbe....I've had mine pierced for so long that I can't even remember...

If she just lost the back of the earring she can take the eraser off a pencil and use it as an earring back. I've done it a couple times.
No. It won't even close in a few days as long as you put a new one in. Get screw on backs.
Meh, they *shouldn't*.
Of course, it also depends on the kid. My daughter had to have an x-ray done on her skull about 3 months after her ears were pierced, and I had a hard time getting the earring back in after they were out for about 1/2 hour. I'm not sure if it was because of her age or something though... (She was 11 months at the time.)
Even now, her ears have been pierced for a few years now and if I take them out, they will start closing overnight.
Couldn't the teacher just put the earring in, and stick a piece of tape on the earring to hold it in place? It may look goofy, but would solve the problem without you needing to make a trip.
I was 13 when I had mine pierced and had to take them out for a couple basketball games, a total of maybe 4 hours. One started to close, the other didn't. I still remember the trauma of trying to shove it back through (I succeeded, but it was pretty unpleasant). Everyone is different, I would second taping the earring on for the rest of the day just to be safe.
