Early Teething - Panama City,FL

Oh, dear. It's a bit early; but not unusual for teething to start at that age. Forget frozen bagels or other food items that may choke a child. I used a clean wash cloth and placed it damp in the freezer. The cold will alleviate the pain of teething and the cloth will not cause a choking hazard. Let the baby do this in the high chair or rocker, as the cold also affects the hands he is using to gnaw on the washcloth. A bib or cloth diaper over the neck and chest works to soak up the drool...

When our little guys start teething this is the normal thing for them to do. I used baby ora gel over the counter for mine and my grandkids too. The green poop is because they are running a little fever and their tummy is a little upset ususally, it will pass Mom, I promise. Wait until the molars come in! That is when they really go nuts! Give him lots of loves while your at it!

I can tell you that is is completely normal.. they can start teething as early as 2 months and not cut teeth until a yr... my nephew started at 2 and a half months but didnt cut first teeth till 10 months and kept cutting until he was 18 months... stopped for a month and started on his 2 yr molars.. he is currently 24 months and the 2 yr molars have still not shown up... just make sure if he gets extremely irritable that you have him checked for an ear infection cause teething can sometimes lead to ear infections and the only way you know is they are inconsolable.. my daughter went thru one every time she cut a tooth... you can use Hylands teething tablets to sooth his gums (its a homeopathic product and is safe), also a frozen wash cloth or teeting rings help some too! hope this helps... oh and infants poop can be many colors.. yellow, green, dark green, brown... and can even look like it has sand or bird seed in it.. its just the formula or mothers milk and how thir bodies break it down..

It's definitely not impossible. My oldest got her first 2 bottom teeth at 4 months, so just try to help the symptoms. You can put a cold wash cloth on his gums. I would always wet a wash cloth, ring it out real good, roll it up and put it in the freezer. All four of my children loved biting and sucking on the frozen wash cloth. You may have to hold it because it might be to cold for his little hands. Tylenol will help if it's just too unbearable for them.

All of my kids were like that at about 2 months. They each didn't get teeth until they were about 4 months, which is still early, but the drooling and sore gums were around for 2 months or so. He could be getting them anytime.
I know it seems early, but my cousin's baby was born with teeth!

I don't think he's teething, but you can always ask your ped. At two months the drooling is normal, and it's because the swallow reflex hasn't kicked in yet. Blowing bubbles, also normal. Refusing to eat sometimes, normal. Green poop often indicates not enough hindmilk if he's breastfed. If he nurses on both sides, try keeping him on one side longer. If he only nurses one side at a time, try nursing him on one side twice in a row to make sure he gets his hindmilk. Irritable and cranky could be an ear infection, gas, or reflux. I would take him to a lactation consultant to check out how much he's eating at a sitting, and then to your ped to check for an ear infection. Baby massage can help with the gas, and mention reflux to the ped also.

I am with you. My son is a little over 4 months old and a month or so ago he was very cranky, drooling, putting his fist in his mouth and pulling on his ears. I thought he was teething but everyone said it was too early for him. Well a couple of days ago he was chewing on my finger and ouch...he now has 2 teeth popping through on the bottom row. I would say it may be teething but he may also not cut them right away. It was kind of a releaf to feel the teeth to find out why he was acting the way he was. I give my son a wet wash cloth to chew on, I hold a teething ring while he chews on it and if he seems very uncomfortable my pedi gave me a tylenol dose for him. Good luck!

my son got his first tooth at 3 months old. He had 8 teeth at 8 months old. every child is different. I would buy him a teething ring and put it in the fridge so he has something cold to chew on. good luck!

It is perfectly normal for some kids!! Both of my kids cut their first teeth at 2-3 months ... Keep cool compresses for their gums and they sometimes wanted to nurse incessantly.
