Ear Piercing Place in Manhattan

Your daughter is going to want alot of things in the coming years. Taking care of pierced ears is not something that a toddler can be responsible for. Get her someplay earings to satisfy her desire to play dress up & have earings. She may m ore on to the next "thing" after that. You can always pierce her ears when she is a little older. My 3 y/o daughter has been asking too about earings & I tell her that it's somethingnthat older girls get to do. So when she is 10 she can do it too. I may give in when she is 6 or 8 y/o, but not while she is a toddler.

We went to Claire's at the south street seaport 2 weeks ago. The clerk / agent was professional, thorough and patient, because we kept asking for an adjustment of one of the marks where she put one earring. It came off without a hitch and not much pain. Because my 9 year-old had anticipated it so much we made it a little party with her closest friends involved. I checked out several options and Claire's was the most convenient and most frequently used among my friends.

I still look at it wistfully, feeling like she lost a bit of her innocence. She basically chose brief pain for fashion, but I wasn't willing to make it into a "battle" after I realized that her 5 closest friends were all pierced.

Your peditrician should be able to do the ear-piercing. My doctor did both of my daughter's. It's a very sterile environment when compared to the malls, etc. It may be a little pricey though.

Claire's on the Upper West Side was wonderful for us!

I think doing it the earlier the better is best. I've had mine done since I was days old and never had to worry about infections like my friends who got it later in life because my Mother took care of it along with the rest of me.

I know our pediatrician's office offers ear piercing - Tribeca Pediatrics. Maybe yours does too.
