Hi everyone,

I am looking for a place to take my 6 month old daughter to get her ears pierced. I would like to avoid the options at large malls and target a place that might specialize in ear piercing for small children. We live in Reston and I am open to going anywhere in the DC metro area.

What can I do next?

I would definitely have this done at your pediatrician's office. Personally, I wouldn't trust anyone else with a baby so young. If yours doesn't have the interest or skills, feel free to email me. Our pediatrician is an Egyptian woman (and mother of five), and based on the number of babies and children I see in her office with pierced ears, I'm pretty sure she either does this, or could recommend someone who does.(She is located in Falls Church).

I work at a doctor's office that does ear piercing. He is a pediatric ear, nose, and throat doctor. You will probably have to pay more than you would going to a mall, but somehow I would feel better about having a physician do it. You can email me for our office info if you would like. ____@____.com

Dear S.,
I agree with the other two moms. Ask your pediatrician and if they don't do it, get a referral. (sp?).
Good Luck,
Pammy

Sometimes the child's doctor might do it or be able to recommend someone to do it for you.
