E-fax

I've had e-fax for years. Just go to www.efax.com and they have several options. You can have the type where you can only receive faxes (and I think that is free, or close to it). If you pay $20/month, then you can send and receive faxes. It's very easy - you just choose whatever document you want to fax, hit "print" and efax is one of your printer choices. From there you fill in where you're sending it to, what (if anything) you want to put in the message part of the cover page and then "print" it (which is the same as hitting "send" on a fax machine).

I like it because I can get my faxes from anywhere and they're stored online. I'd recommend it.

I have efax as well and have loved having it. If you are running a business and do a lot of faxing and your land line is only $30.00 it may not be cost effective for you. Go to efax.com and look at the plans. I use the basic and when I'm at home I only use the incoming fax so I don't have to bother with the fax ringing and it drops right into my email. My company that I work with sends paper confirmations automatically back to the fax number something is received from so in order to have that paper confirmation (that ensures I get paid) I do have a land line and a fax I send from if I'm home. If I'm traveling, which I do from time to time with work, efax is very efficient for me.

Getting a signed contract into your computer is a little more of a pain. For a contract or similar you need to scan it into your email or computer as a file and then fax it. Rather then just sticking it in the fax machine, dialing a number, and having it go. GL!
