We try to keep evertything dye free. The only thing I have run into issues with is finding Vanilla instant pudding that is dye free. I found a brand on line Better Bowl. I was wondering if anyone has tried it? It seem that it is about $2.00 "box" vs $1.00 but this was the most inexpensive one I found. Has ayone tried it? What was your experience?

The recpie that we have for the pie calles for 1 box of vanilla instant pudding? Can I Make that my self? I don't add the milk when making the recpie.. ?

Trader Joes used to have one that was AWESOME.. the jerks took it off the market.

What can I do next?

It's fine to go dye-free, but you also want to look at additives and processed foods, dyes or not. All those additives that increase shelf life can cause just as many problems. I'm not sure what your specific issues are - behavioral/ADD, for example, or concern about cancer and other effects on the genes. I'm involved in food science, and I can tell you that so many of those ingredients we think are part of our lives seem to have a strong link to the gene switching (on & off) creating many of the huge increase in food allergies, ADD/ADHD, PDD, behavioral/rage issues, sensory issues and so on. Certainly we find that, by adding and increasing the amount of a natural peptide from non-GMO crops, these issues reduce or go away completely, sometimes with results noticed in just a few weeks.

So I'd stay away from most "instant anything." That can mean puddings, cake mixes, most packaged cookies and crackers, and so on.

By the time you search for it, order it and pay for shipping, you could have made 3 puddings yourself with real vanilla.

Why not just make your own pudding? That will always be cheaper and healthier.

I've never heard of that brand, but haven't been impressed with the natural or organic powdered puddings I can find in stores here (Whole Foods and Sprouts carry them). So I just make my own. Allrecipes.com has some great pudding recipes and they're almost as easy as ripping open a package. I like the plain old 'homemade vanilla pudding' recipe that has milk, white sugar, cornstarch, salt, vanilla extract and butter. It's simple and tastes great.
