I can't recommend anything in particular since we haven't gotten one yet, but after all the problems we've had with our video recorder I guarantee we WON'T buy a Sony. We get so aggravated everytime we try to use it and it's been in for service twice. Sony customer service is horrible and they don't care that their product doesn't work...they already have their money. Maybe we've just had bad experiences with them, but just wanted to put it out there that you might want to look at other brands.
