I have a duvet cover I love but the blanket always gets messed up inside of the duvet! Is there a trick that I don't know about? It's very frustrating!

What can I do next?

A quick fix might be having ties sewn to the corners of the cover as well as the insert. Tie them all up when you put it together and it will at least keep all of the corners attached. :)

Try baby diaper pins. One in each corner. Just clip the comforter to the duvet.
They're not as easy to find these days but they sure work well:)

Good luck.

I had that problem too. Then I noticed that many duvet packages described them as having ties to secure it to the blanket. So I used my sewing machine to put button holes in the corners of my blankets, and then sewed ties in the inside corners of the duvets (or just bought the ones that already had the ties, when it was time for a new duvet). It's been working great!

Mine have ties in the corners.
When you put it on the blanket, bunch up an inch or so of the corner and tightly tie the ties around it.
Do the same in all 4 corners.
When you shake your blanket out, hold it by 2 corners on the same side and your blanket/cover should shake out just fine.

My SIL sews a couple ribbons to the bottom of the blanket and then a couple inside the duvet. Tie them together and pull the duvet cover up and over your blanket.

Safety pin the corner of the blanket to the corners of the duvet cover on the inside.

They sell these things at Bed Bath and Beyond that are like little plastic clips that hold the blanket in place. So easy to use and so worth it.

Does your duvet have little ties on the inside corners that you can use to tie your comforter in? Mine all do, so I just do that. Sometimes they still come untied and the comforter slips, but overall it works really well. I buy my duvets from Pottery Barn.

I take small safety pins and tack the blanket into the duvet cover. That keeps the blanket from slipping too much.

Mine has the ties in the corners and it's still a huge pain! I just gave up and bought a quilt to replace it.

Place the corners in first. Then roll the blanket cover over the the entire blanket. Then holding the top of the blanket by the corners shake the blanket out fully. You can pin the edges in at the top. Change the cover every two weeks.
I have some that have openings at the top to put your hands in and hold the edges of the cover while you shake out the blanket.
