I use this product on my son. http://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/catalog/shop_product_detail.jsp... It is only $5 at CVS. It smells good and has made a real difference in his hair (he is bi-racial white/black).

Arbonne Nourishig Daily Shampoo and Nourishing Daily Conditioner is excellent for dry hair. Arbonne products are very "Green" but super "result" oriented. Good to the body and to the earth....and works super effectively. To purchase go to www.J..myarbonne.com or call me direct at ###-###-####.

Since I started "restoring my hair to its natural color" I have found that the highlighting has really dried out my hair. However, my budget is very tight so I found that Pantene's Pro-V Restoratuves Time Renewal Replenishing Mask is absolutely fantastic and I can get it at Target for under $5.

Coconut oil is awesome for dry hair, skin, etc. It isn't like other oils in that it is solid until it reaches a certain temperature (73 degrees I believe) and then becomes a liquid. For this reason, it works well on us because we're warmer. It doesn't clog your pores and has been shown to be good if you're trying to lose weight (eaten of course) because it provides you with energy, etc. (I'm really bad recalling information I've read). I use it on my face at night and wake up with my skin glowing and no it doesn't make me break out (and I do have sensitive skin). My husband likes to put it on toast with peanut butter and it's really good. Eating it will also help your skin and hair. I bleach my hair and will ocassionally use it as a hair deep conditioner. I can't say enough good stuff about it. And, yes, Olive Oil is good as well as avocado oil. Be sure to keep all of those in your diet as well so your hair and skin is moisterized from the inside out;)

hmmm lets see when my hair is dry i use hair cholesterol once a week but if your hair is overly dry due to curling etc then maybe use it at the beginning of the week and then mid week. i love how it makes my hair feel :). also another good thing to use is an ausie 3 minute merical. another helpfull tip is to think of things like this - shampoo no matter what brand does the same thing (cleans your hair) but with conditioner you really get what you pay for. i usually get a cheaper shampoo and then have no problem spending 10 bucks on a conditioner. the hair cholesterol is really cheap like 6 bucks for a tub :). i use pantiene conditioner but if i could i would buy paul mitchel or matrix.

My sister swears by washing her hair with vinegar and using olive oil at the ends. It seems to work for her. She has very dry kinky hair.

I use Pantene shampoo and conditioner for "women of color", even tho we are white. I find it to be very moisturizing. My son has very dry, kinky, curly hair and it is also the only shampoo/conditioner that he uses.

I also only wash my hair once a week to allow the natural oils to moisturize the hair.

I'm a licensed cosmetologist . . . I personaly love the matrix sleek shampoo and conditioner. . . Why is your hair dry? Is it just naturaly dry or from bleaching or styling with hot tools? Ive tried the olive oil. . . Which i'm a big fan of olive oil when it comes to my baby . . . But the hair thing didn't work for me. Try a home made avacado mayo and egg mix. . . It'll leave it shinny:-) it seems like a few people are just tryin to sell their products to you Lol:-) also what most people don't know is too much reconstructor and colestoral use is actually damaging cause it hardens the hair and it breaks off. Once a month is more than enough. Good luck! :-)

Try finding a very hydrating conditioner....redken all soft is a good less expensive one..but my favorite that i see the most results with is, pureology's hydrate conditioner. definitely keep using your leave-in cond...redken's anti snap is my favorite leave in.

Hello K.. I use several products (so that I don't get product immunity! lol). One is in a jar by Cantu, and it's a shea butter leave in conditioner. It is very thick and I put a "blob" of it in my palm, rub it around, then massage it through my hair. I also use a product called Bouncy Cream by Iso, a product by Pantene called smooth lisser or something like that (sorry I can't remember the exact name), and a product by Fantasia called Frizz Buster. Sunsilk also makes a great cream, can't remember the name of it but it is the one that comes in the green bottle. Best of luck to you :)

Don't wash your hair everyday and add conditioner only every other time you wash it. Also, wrap foil around sections of hair( with conditioner) and apply the blow dryer to it. It heats up the conditioner hence helping it heal. I just purchased a new conditioner called Enjoy Hydrating Conditioner.

About 6 months after my son was born my hair got very dry. I went to the local beauty supply store and they recommended something called "Morrocan Oil." It's a hydrating mask for your hair. You work it through your hair and then let it sit for about 15 minutes, then rinse out. I used it once a week and immediately felt improvement in my hair. Although my hair's condition is starting to come back now, I still use it once a week. It comes in a jar with a turquoise jar and brown lid.

you should get a filter on your shower if u don't have one already..some areas in LA have more chemicals in the water..when i was living in Echo Park my hair was dry and icky and my cat was ripping his fur out..so i put a filter on the shower and only gave him filtered water and it cured it!
