Has anyone used either of these doctors? Comments about them & the office staff? We were seeing Dr. Hopkins with Cook's Children's in Grapevine, but have had trouble with the office staff both times we've been there. Dr. Hopkins is a wonderful doctor, but wouldn't recommend him due to the office staff.

What can I do next?

We use to go to Dr. Shori who was with Dr Hopkins. We did not like the front desk or nurse staff at all, and she was not the best Dr. for us. We saw Dr Hopkins once and loved him! We just could not switch with in the office, bummer. From my one interaction with him I would stay, as a good dr is hard to find. We interviewed with Arca and liked her. My OB recommended her, although she was not our final choice, but still she was very good. We would have been very happy with her. Our choice was she was a little to far for us, otherwise I would have used her. She even told us that sometime the staff is not the best. We finally chose Dr Nichols in Southlake and have seen him twice. The staff has been great on the two occasions we have been to the dr. But in our case we wanted a great Dr first and the staff, well anyone was better than Shori, Hopkins, Kilgus group.

Dr. Harston has been my daughters' pediatrician since birth 5 years ago. She is great and so are the nurse practitioners and nurses, BUT the office staff is not. While I would highly recommend Dr. Harston, if you're looking for a friendly, helpful office staff, don't go there.

Our DD only saw Dr. Harston once so I don't have a lot to go on, but she was the weekend pediatrician at Baylor Grapevine one day when our daughter was born. We had a very bad experience with her. She seemed very disorganized and was telling us to supplement our child with formula based on another child's discharge weight which we wouldn't have known if we didn't double check. When her office filed the insurance claim, they put the wrong name on the claim so the insurance company didn't pay it. It took us months to get it straightened out. We also used Dr. Hopkins and really liked him when our daughter was little but changed doctor's because we felt like we were rushed in and out of the office.

We've used Dr Harston for 10 years. I really like her, however, I will be switching soon because I am tired of always seeing a NP instead of the doctor. The nurse practitioners are great, but I feel like if I am paying the same amount I should be able to see the doctor most of the time. It seems as her office has grown we see her less and less. Good luck in your search.
