You COULD be wierd. That's anybody's guess.
LOL. Just kidding.
:)
I actually am more comfortable in dresses and skirts because I am built like a stick and can't find pants to fit me.
I always wear a slip under my dresses and skirts.
I'm thin, but very conscious of my middle because I've had two kids and numerous operations and a flat stomach is out of the picture for me.
However, there are really cute dresses that are cut and have darts in such a way that they make you look smaller around the middle.
The accountant at my job is also a professional belly dancer/instructor on the side and she has curves everywhere.
You'd think belly dancing would be a good workout, and it is, but all the belly dancers I know have tummies.
They wear skirts and dresses. Form fitting ones too.
They figure they have hips and a tummy and some thighs and they shake their belly dancing groove thing in MORE revealing stuff.
Our accountant is beautiful, she's a single mother. She makes money belly dancing.
She's not ashamed of her body at all.
She dresses really cute for work, doesn't try to hide an inch of herself.
I mean, she dresses pretty conservatively but she doesn't shy away from skirts.
Come to think of it.....I've NEVER seen her in a pair of pants.
Find some cute stuff.
Get slips to wear underneath.
I was raised that such petticoats are proper attire with a dress or skirt and then I realized as an adult why giving your slip the slip one day can be very embarrassing.
I walked back in at a job from lunch wearing what I thought was a very safe red dress and one of the men at work started teasing me about seeing straight through that dress with the sun behind me as I came in the door.
It sounds like you need to find some time to try some clothes on and find the right fit.
Why don't you like your legs?
I have a scar on my right leg from a motorcycle accident. It's about 8 inches long and 4 inches wide where the tail pipe landed on top of me. I don't let it stop me wearing skirts. Or even shorts.
For work, I keep my legs covered, but for everything else....
I don't let it bother me.
I'm happy to have my leg.
Embrace who you are.
Make improvements as you can it it's what will make you happy.
In the meantime, don't be afraid to try new things.
People likely won't judge you as much as you judge yourself.
Best wishes.
