My baby was delivered on Oct 2. At 3:15 I pushed, she said I wasn't doing a good enough job and left. I was running a fever of 103, and although my daughter seemed okay, they knew she had meconium in her water and 4-5 extra doctors were there to take care of her afterwards. Immediately after Dr. Jibril left, the nurse gave me better pushing directions and you could then see my daughter's black hair coming out. They paged Dr Jibril atleast 5 times over the course of 45 minutes. All 5 of the doctors for my baby came back and we all waited, LOOKING at my daughter's black hair and top of her head for 45 minutes. With me crying in severe pain because my epidural had worn off. After 45 minutes she finally shows back up and in 3 pushes my daughter was born. Not only was I frustrated, but obviously so were all the other doctors and nurses who could not attend to other patients because of waiting on her to come. My daughter was born with a temp of 101, thank you it came down fast. The next day she did not come to check on me until 5:30, after a nurse asked if she had come and I said no. Upon arriving she told me she was so late to check on me, (which she only sat in a chair and talked to me, didn't do any sort of physical check up) was because My delivery had gotten in the way of a seminar she had been doing on thurs and she had to redo it on Fri. Needless to say I will not be going back to Dr Jibril for any future medical needs, and pray that nothing went wrong that she didn't tell me about (she was never open about telling me what was okay or not okay) and I will not have any problems with future pregnancies because of her.

She also waited to tell me that I was measuring small until she was ordering another ultrasound to check for size. This was after I had asked every visit if she was measuring okay.

Medical Center of Plano was a awesome place to deliver. I loved the nurses there, I swear they took the best care of me and my baby possible. Every single one was great, I have no complaints at all with the hospital and they certainly did everything they could to help me through my delivery.

Dr. Jibril delivered my son 3 years ago and ended up being an emergency c-section at the end (my son's head was too big to fit). She has also delivered several babies of my friends. She will not "sugar coat" anything...she tells it like it is, but I found her competent and willing to listen to how you want things. For example I didn't want an epidural and wanted to go into labor on my own which I guess I am in the minority on that. I would certainly recommend her.

Dr Jibril was my doctor, and i loved her. She switched from Presby Plano to Medical City Plano which is just too far for me to drive.

DON'T allow them to give you a c-section. It's one of the worse things we can do to our amazing human body. Stand firm for what you want! Hope everything goes smoothly! Congratulations!

Dr. Jibril delivered my second child (in January '08) and was wonderful. I ended up having a c-section due to her being breech. I agree with the previous poster, she will not sugar coat anything and will tell you like it is. But, at that point, it's exactly what I wanted and needed. Medical Center of Plano was wonderful and I did not have any issues with the nurses, etc. I would definately recommend both Dr. Jibril and MCP!
