Downloading Movies from Itunes

I have downloaded movies and t.v. shows, but play them on my Ipod. I have not yet tried to copy/burn them to c.d. yet.

I'm 99% confident that you will not be able to burn the movie to a dvd and watch it on your TV. I think the only way you are able to watch it, without having something called Apple TV connected to your TV, is to watch it on your computer.

As of now, it cannot be done. The format that the movies need to be in (it's a compressed format) to run on an ipod is not compatable with a dvd format. You can watch them on your computer though.

of you purchase it through apple it can be played on the computer you purchased it on on an apple tv that is the main computer for the apple tv, and one ipod that is used with the itunes it was downloaded to.

i highly siggest an apple tv. we have one and we fill it with our favorite movies so we can watch them whenever we want.

you can also beg a computer savvy person to download it as a torrent and burn you a copy.

also is the series over? or just no longer on cox? i have att and we now have tons of extra channels and it might be on one of those. cant hurt to look.

ps go learn about torrents on the internet. type in bunnytown torrent and see if it exists. could save you a bunch of money

I doubt that you can burn it to DVD, but have you thought about searching on You Tube? I don't have cable, but my son has been able to watch a lot of his favorite shows on there. Again, you can't download it or burn it to DVD (that I know of) but at least it's free.

Yes you can do this, but I have to warn you that purchasing things from itunes then tranfering them can be a little iffy. They are high proprietary. I've done it before and so have a lot of my friends, but it is a lot easier especially if you are not familiar with their program to google bunnytown and purchase the dvds straight. I know Amazon sells a few Bunnytown DVDs. It is more portable and can be transferred to other devices. Thing purchased from itunes can only be played on an ipod-line device, up to a certain number of devices, and on a certain number of computers (this is of course unless you are good at "changing" thing) For someone who is stuck in the last century, buy the dvd set, find someone how knows how to rip and burn, and make back up copies. If you still insist on downloading from itunes do yourself a huge favor and have someone who has done it before do it for you. ps, look for other places that offer downloads, I have purchased things from Amazon and I can convert it to any program that I want for viewing burning purposes.

I asked my husband about your question and he said "no. You are not able to burn a DVD from iTunes." Apple will not let you burn video to DVD, only music. My suggestion would be to try Amazon.com and see if they have Season 1 of Bunnytown for sale. Good luck.

I just wanted to let you know that I do not own an iPod, either, nor have I downloaded anything from iTunes--which is pretty funny considering that my husband is an IT and production manager and our house has almost every technological thingy one can buy. My husband has an iPhone and a fancy iPod--which I've never inspected closely, either!

You're not alone--but my understanding is that downloading anything from iTunes is pretty easy. My husband just downloaded "A Charlie Brown Christmas" from iTunes onto his computer which then shows up on our AppleTV so that we can watch it from our living room t.v.

P.S. If you have a fancy iPod (one that shows video), you can download shows from iTunes onto it and watch them there--good for travel. My husband did this on his iPod with episodes of Blue's Clues for our son.
P.P.S. We have Cox Cable--if you do too, then perhaps you can check the Freezone section of your OnDemand and see if Bunnytown episodes are there. We watch Blue's Clues and Sesame Street this way often.

I am not sure how it works if you have a pC, but I use a program called handbrake to rip dvds. hope that helps!

I tried doing this with episodes of Lost, and found that you cannot burn TV shows or movies to DVD, although it's easy to burn songs to CD's. I just watched it on my computer, but the converter that previous posters mentioned sounds like a good idea.

To burn anything onto DVD, you must have a DVD burner on your computer. Most computers have a CD burner, but not all have DVD burners.
Even if you do have a computer that can burn DVD's, trying to get it there from iTunes doesn't sound like something you should embark on unless you have done it before and it's a sure thing. I would play it safe and just hunt for the actual DVD's to buy.

iTunes movies are downloaded in a digital copy format (mp4 for example) If you so chose to you could invest in an ipod capable of playing movies and play the movies from the ipod on the tv (with a cable that plugs into your ipod and then to your tv via the rca plugs) My dvd player is older and will not play digital copy formats, I do not know if newer ones are capable. if you have more questions feel free to message me!

Totally know how you feel - no more Bunnytown for us either! Tried to contact Disney to find out why but no response yet. We have an iPod and downloaded the entire first season, then purchased a converter (about $50) to hook it up to our TV. To my knowledge, you can't burn DVDs of programs you've purchased via iTunes - something to do with the compression/codding of the files. There are probably some great deals for iPods on eBay.com right now, if you're in a position to make the investment. Hope this helps!
