Does anyone have anyone have any recommendations on one that can accomadate a petite 3 1/2 yr old and a Graco carseat for the baby? Looking for not too expensive ones since I'm not sure how long or how much we'll actually use it. I'm keeping my eye out on Craigslist & consignment too, just wanting any recommendations on what kind to get. Thanks!

What can I do next?

We had and still have a Graco Duo Glider. We don't ever use it anymore but the boys fit perfectly and still do- one is 3 and one is 4. My only complaint is that as the boys got bigger and heavier the stroller got harder to push... but I think that's pretty common :)

I love my sit and stand! Its not a full double but my 4 yr old doesn't sit a lot, so it is great that she can stand and still be contained. I have a joovy caboose (I think).

I have heard great things about the sit and stand as well. We almost bought one, but I think I've decided against it. I borrowed a front/back double Graco when my second was born and my first was just 2 and it was great. I had to give it back to my friend when my baby was about 6 months and honestly, I'm glad I didn't buy one! If you can get one cheap then do it, otherwise I would probably recommend the sit and stand. My daughter barely used the double as it was and I haven't had a problem using my single since then. My kids are 3 and 16 mos. now.

Ok, it really depends what kind of life style you have. Are active? Biking, rollerblading, beach? Etc. I wouldn't worry about investing a lot of money to accommodate newborn (graco carseat) within just a few months they will be sitting up etc.

My primary stroller I have a bugaboo and the board ( 4 y and 3 months) and once the baby starts sitting up I will be using double jogger for my longer days out.

If you are a mom on the go, like myself and you kids might fall asleep on the go. The most important thing is a light weight of a stroller, reclining for the kids comfort, canopy for the strong sunshine and the basket.

Lots of luck and success!

I loved my sit and stand by baby trend. My girls are petite too. The newer ones have the carriers in back so its a bit easier to controll on turns. I didnt have the the 2 canopies and wished i did. Keep your eyes still on craigslist and consignments as that is the best way.

Also, try posting a WANTED ad on craigslist for the stroller.

I had a BabyTrend SitnStand double Stroller. I thought i hated it at first. Seemed a little cheap to me and didn't have all the elegance of the Graco or anything higher in price, but now that we have had it for a while i actually like it quite a bit. It does the job and a heck of a lot lighter than those other double strollers with all the bells and whistles. It folds down quickly and easily with one hand, its light, and can fit in the back of my MIL compact car. I know picking out one that fits the baby carseat is important but really you only use that part of it for 4-6 mths max. So i'm prett happy that we not only saved money, but it turned out pretty darn good in the end. Good luck!
