I am looking for a compact, easy to transport stroller for my infant and toddler. I'm intrigued with the sit-stand stoller and would appreciate feedback from anyone that uses one. What brand? Pros & Cons? Thank You!!!

I am also looking at this type of stroller. It seems like a good idea for the older child to have a little more freedom and the stroller should also last longer. From what I have seen the babytrend model seems slightly larger than the joovy brand but the joovy brand only has a tiny storage basket. I think I will probably end up with the babytrend model; I have ready some decent reviews on both models though. Good luck with you decision.

I was in the same boat and ended up getting the Litaf Sit 2 Go - it's like the sit and stand, but instead of buying a whole new stroller and carseat this one attaches to the back of the stroller you already own. They cost about $90 but I got a brand new one off ebay for almost half that and it works great!

I really like the fischer price sit n stand. like the basket that holds 50#'s and accessibility to the basket underneath. The other ones I checked out didnt have this much. Yeah it is heavy, but so are the others.
Someone said not to buy because of the hard front stearing...... we used bicycle spray instead of WD40 the company recommended and works great.

good luck, been there!

We looked at the sit and stand strollers as well. They seem awesome but if your toddler gets tired, there's no way for him to lay back to sleep. We went for the Graco Quattro. It's super easy to collapse and store. Con is that it's a little pricey. I suggest you go down to a baby store (like Babies 'r' Us) and play with the different strollers. That was how we made our decision.

I purchased a Prego stroller five years a go. It was quite expensive at that time but it was worth the sacrifice. these are it's features....It colapsed like one of those umbrella strollers-so it did not take up much space, It held a car seat- so is was easy to transfer from those sleeping times from the car to the stroller, It has foot pads for your toddler to step on so that you can walk at the pace that you want to with out waiting for your toddler to catch up to, Easy to clean- the straps are not weaved throught the stroller they just slide into a slot (it is hard to describe) But you know how babies are and all of there messes.
I hope this helps.....

Well I bought one from Target and I love it for the convenience that my daughter can stand or sit on it so she doesnt get bored. Its pretty easy to take along but the only downfall is its pretty hard to steer when there both on. (60 lbs with two kids). I would still recommend it though.
mine is "baby-trend" - sit and stand LX from Target. I paid like $100 I think for it.

I have children 2 years apart as well. I got a Lascal Kiddie Board and put it on my existing stroller. This worked great for me, because it was compact and easy. If my older child wanted out of the stroller, I could put the board in the stoller's basket and I wasn't stuck with a giant stroller plus a toddler to keep track of. My kids are 3 and 5, and we still use the kiddie board, now on the back of the jogger. It works great to pick up my kindergartener from school. I attached a link, but you can get this product from many baby stores, just search Google.

We got the Joovy brand of sit-stand stroller at Babies R Us. I don't remember how much it was(we got it 2 yrs ago), but we love it. It was great after our second child was born. We actually didn't have one for a couple of months and trying to go anywhere was a pain because our 3 year-old wouldn't want to walk or couldn't keep up. It was great because it fit the car seat for the baby and my daughter loved sitting or standing. There is a seat belt for the older child so if they are sitting, they can be buckled. The seat on it does move if it's needed. The one thing that was difficult was if my 3 year-old did fall asleep, there really wasn't a soft spot for her head. Also, when my daughter was standing, she did like to lean against the buckle that is suppose to keep them in. It can be dangerous. If she leaned too hard, it would tip backwards. It is kinda of big, but it did fit in the trunk of our car. When we first got it we had a Plymouth Breeze(it's exactly like a Dodge Stratus). We even took it with us on a family vacation to Hawaii this last September. My daughter who is now 5 and my son 2 still like to use it. One thing i didn't like was that there was no drink holder for an adult, but I know you can by some that attach to any stroller.

We have had the double stroller and sit-n-stand. I LOVE our sit-n-stand!! I actually want a new one, as ours has been through A LOT!! My last one is the brand that is at Target, sorry can't think brand names.
One thing I did not like about our double stroller was that our toddler had to climb over a bar (we had Graco double) and kept hitting her knee.

hey I use a sit and stand stroller for my 3 yr old and 7 month old I love it, it has come in handy, the toddler can sit in the back when he's tired or needs a time out if he wont walk by us, and ours has and tray for the front when they are old enough to sit up, and a car seat holder thing before that. The brand I have is from Babies R us, its a Joovy. good luck!

I have a 2 month old and a 2 yr/10 month old and have the Joovy Caboose lightweight. I love it. For a double stroller it is fairly compact and my oldest can sit comfortable or stand and it holds the car seat/carrier plus will change to just 2 seats later. The only downfall is the basket underneath is difficult to get to with the carrier on it. It is well worth the price.

E., I had the sit and stand stroller. I hated it until the youngest was able to sit up. The front seat in mine did not recline for an infant. The stand part in the back was great!!!!!! So for having an infant get a double stroller and you can have my sit and stand free when the baby is 6 months old. P.

Joovy Caboose $149 and worth every penny.
Replaces my Graco stroller from my travel set. Joovy glides smooth as butter and isn't much longer than a single stroller. They have padding for the grips where the 2 year old can sit/stand and a cushion on the seat.
Love it. Found it at Babies R Us

I returned my sit and stand stroller. The first thing is that your 2 year old won't be able to sit when the infant carrier is in it. I don't know if that will be a problem for you. So, I had waited to by mine until my youngest was out of the infant carrier. The next problem my 2 year old thought it was fun sliding the sit and stand seat back and forth and hitting the back rest of the younger child. I didn't like this stroller at all. I have fairly well behaived children and for me it was what I would have done if I were yound too. I don't really care for my double but, it works much better then the sit and stand. Plus you do get use to it.

I used a double stroller where both kids sat in the front (one in front of the other). It was very heavy and hard to push. Then I bought a stroller where my older daughter (2 1/2yrs)could sit backwards or stand and "help" me push. It was wonderful. The stroller was still heavy but much easier to push around. My husband like the sit/stand stroller because the handle bar adjusted out for when she stood. When he pushed the stroller he always had the handle out as far as possible so his feet didn't hit the stroller when he walked. He has long legs. The first double stroller didn't have an adjustable handle. I'm sorry that I don't remember the brand we used-it's been a few years since we used it.

hi! i was given on older babytrend sit and stand stroller by a friend after i had my second child. i loved it! i loved it so much that after i had my third child i went out and bought myself a new one. it's a little bulkier then the single strollers that can hold a car seat but it's sooo worth it. the newer ones have a snack tray up by the handle bar, and it comes with an attachment so almost any car seat will fit with it. i hope this helps. good luck! I have a sit and stand now but have had a double stroller in the past. It really depends on the age of your kids. My kids are 3.5, 2 and 4 months. The double was great with my first 2 because they were 15 months apart and my son was still content to ride in a stroller. There are 26 months between my youngest 2 and my daughter loves to walk. So all the kids usually ride on it to go into a store and then the older two walk and the stroller is then a great jacket holder. But I can still strap one of the older two in if they are not listening. So, all that to say, it depends on the ages you have but the sit and stand is great when you have an active toddler who is a little older.
One drawback is if the older one is sleeping. The stroller is now made to allow the older one to sleep. There is no backrest for the back seat. Good luck!

I really love my sit-stand stroller. It is Fisher Price brand. The front seat reclines for an infant, but if it is in the reclining position, the toddler on the back has to stand up. I use it for my 15 month old and my 3 year old. It's great.

We love our Joovy Caboose sit and stand. We looked at the Evenflo (I think...) sit and stand too but the Joovy Caboose was more compact and easier to fold. It doesn't have a built in cup holder but for about $20 we bought a little modular set that snaps right on and has more than we need. Definitely worth it!
