Does anyone ever recall a door to door sales pitch, team of guys/girls not from local city, but would drop in and go door to door in neighborhoods advertising this miracle cleaning product. Or trying to sell it by using in home demos?
I remember I let a guy in (stupid i know) but I did. I was renting at the time. And I showed him a cigarette burn on the bathroom counter.
I have never been able to get cigarette burns off of a burned counter, EVER.
That was until he brought this miracle product along. It cost like $40 for a huge bucket, and he said that myself and a neighbor could split the costs if she agreed to buy. I never did get the product because she never came up w/her half.
The guy was from Pennsylvania possibly? I dont know exactly..but does anyone ever recall this product?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I think Sun Gold is it! Thank you. I went to their website (eBay first - didn't see it) and found the tub that like others, I vaguely remember...I mean this was before the year 2000 when I came in contact w/the salesman.
Here is the web address if anyone is interested. http://sungold.com/
But its just that I never have come across such a product like it since. I wanted it sooo bad!
I currently use Awesome to remove stains, and my one co-worker told me to put Tilex on certain items, that the oxidation was key in using Tilex. IDK...just want clean things...no harm in that, right?

I was at work one day and a man like this came in and same thing! He was from Idaho though and he brought in this product that worked on literally EVERYTHING! It was the most amazing cleaner.

It was called Sun Gold, I ended up buying some and my hubby wasnt too happy but I used it on everything and it took out stains of every sort, clothes, carpets, water stains, indoor stuff, outdoor stuff. Anything.

My hubby was in the Army and would come home from weeks in the field with such stains on his uniforms that just washing alone wouldnt take out, and I used this stuff on it and bam looked brand new afterwards. It was incredible.

I sooo wish I had more of that stuff!!! Didnt think about it until now. Wonder if I can find that stuff online....

ETA: your welcome! I knew it had to be what you were talking about! Think im going to get more cause it seriously is THAT good!!

This sounds vaguely familiar. Was the stuff pastey? almost like crisco oil? You could mix it. Wow! Very strange bits of memory coming back to me. At first it reminded me of the Kirby sales people. They are still around, but my Mom had a Kirby. Had no intentions of buying a new one 'cause those things last forever but she'd always want to see what the new ones could do.

yes, I do remember the product & the door-to-door sales. I also remember that many people were ripped off by phonies....pretending to be representatives. The bogus salesmen would use the real product for the demo, & then go outside for the customer's product....which was a watered down/fake solution.

It's good to know that some people actually benefitted from this product. Thanks for sharing....
