Due to a schedule change in our household, I need someone who can watch my 5yr. old son three days a week. It would be from when he gets home from school to when my husband gets home from work (about 3:30pm to 6:00pm). I've never done anything like this before, but I need someone starting next week (Monday 10/27/08). Any recommendations you can provide or advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.
I have a 14 year old daughter (Freshman). She has been certified to do babysitting, this was something she did with her girlscout troop a few years ago. She helps take care of a friend of our children who are 5 & 6. We live on the North end of Plainfield, where are you located.
Since you are looking for someone on such short notice I would use a reputable sight like Sittercity or babysitters.com. You do have to pay a fee to join but it will be worth the peace of mind knowing that you are using sitters who have references and background checks. Good Luck.
