I have heard from many women that Evening Primrose Oil has helped them go in to labor. Has anyone on here ever used it and did it work for you?

What can I do next?

I hate to admit it, I have tried EVERYthing, and nothing works. Just hang in there, and the baby will come when he is ready.

YOU ARE NOT READY AT 37 WEEKS. NEITHER IS YOUR BABY. I know all about herbs for abortion and induction but I will not tell you.
S. quit trying to please your sick, selfish MIL. Does she not care about the ultimate health of her grandchild. Let her go back to Europe alone and come back. Flights are not that expensive. If you tell me she lives in Europe you know she gets 5-6 weeks of paid vacation every year.

Personally I don't think you can do too much to induce until you and the baby are ready. I tried evening primrose, spicy foods, eggplants, walking, nipple stimulation...Both my kids were born at 41 weeks after sex. Sex didn't bring on immediate contractions and it definitely wasn't the only time we had sex in the final weeks, but it can't hurt.

I haven't taken it but yes, I have heard it is great for inducing labor. They just say not to take it specifically if you are pregnant and before 34 weeks. It will cause premature labor in that case. But if you have questions, call your doctor/midwife and ask them.

I don't know about the primrose, but walking and sex are good for this.

I've heard it works. You seem pretty set on having this baby before its due date. If you go into labor early I hope it is worth it, i.e. that your patience or your family's patience level doesn't influence the health of you or your baby.
