Does Anyone Have Verizon FiOS TV?

I have had it with Comcast and am considering making a switch. Comcast is constantly having trouble with their hi-def feed, which is very frustrating. Additionally, their prices for cable have sky-rocketed! Does anyone have Verizon FiOS TV? If so, are you happy with it?

We changed from Comcast to Verizon Fios around two months ago so here is what I have noticed:

-Comcast service broke down fairly frequently and we had to "reboot" the system by switching off the electricity and turning back on, just like Windows when it doesn't respond.

- Verizon Fios si better in that you can record two shows at the same time (kuddos!) which was missing in Comcast and it was annoying to have to chose between two favorite shows.

-Verizon Fios does not have an instant forward feature like the Comcast, where you could "jump" seconds ahead till you passed by the commercials. With FIOS , you can fast forward the image but does not "jump" to the next several frames, instead you still see all the commercials while you are fast forwarding. like a VCR.

Well I hope that helps, overall FIOS works much better and has a lot of features like on demand shows that you can see at anytime because they are popular. "Dora the Explorer" can be seen at any time not just when Nick Jr is showing it.
Anyways, Good luck!

I don't know about FiOS TV, but my boss has had a horrible time with Verizon for DSL access. He asked to speak with a manager, and the customer service rep said "hold on" then came back on and said her manager didn't want to talk with him. Verizon gave him the run around for two months so he was tired of talking to the first level customer support. When the customer service person said her boss didn't want to talk with him, he asked if that meant Verizon didn't want him as a customer and she said "yes, we're okay with that." He ended up getting DSL through Earthlink (which uses Verizon). My boss told us this at a staff meeting and two of my co-workers who used to work at Verizon in Irving said that's typical of Verizon. So... if you have a good experience, great! But if you're unhappy with anything, don't expect good customer service.

Good luck.

We've had Verizon FiOS TV service for about a month and so far we're pleased with it. We also have Verizon FiOS internet (for about a year) and have had NO PROBLEMS with it at all. I highly recommend both services!

We have Fios Internet and Fios TV and love it. We have had Fios TV for over a month now and no outages. With Comcast I had outages with my internet more then once a week and with my TV several times a month.
Love my DVR with them too. Dual turner and double the storage space of Comcast, plus we are saving $40 amonth.

I had Verizon cable before moving to TX. We never had any problems. They are not offering where I live here yet.

We just had verizon fios installed in our house for internet service. Plano does not have fios tv capabilities yet. The installer said that they are too overwhelmed by other places. They need to get caught up with installs before they add Plano to their service area.
So far the internet service has worked out great!
Hope this helps.
