S.P.
I remember that when Ikea first opened in the US they had European (or Scandinavian) size beds, but I think they realized that it was not good business and now make US-sized beds for our market.
I know they can be slightly different but I have a twin mattress & a frame but no box spring for my DD bed, right now she's on the mattress on the floor & perfectly happy but I do want to get it up. I've seen a bunch of platform type IKEA beds & have thought about ditching the box spring & getting a platform. I just want to check it out before I go buying something I'll regret.
Thanks!
thanks so much for the info! I'm waiting to hear about a box spring on craigslist but if it doesn't work out, now I have some options!!

Yeah, if it's a standard twin and you get a twin bed, they should work together just fine.
A twin is a twin, is a twin. Should be fine. Go online and check the measurements of the bed.
We've got Ikea beds for the kids and none of them have Ikea mattresses, didn't like them. They just have standard mattresses that I think came from Costco. They fit perfectly. None of the beds have boxsprings, just the mattresses.
They all find them very comfortable.
Yes. We have IKEA bunk beds and twin mattresses fit great. Best wishes!
