Have you tried a liquid Aloe? My nephew had bad rashes and so my sister gave him and 100% Aloe juice. It seem to work very well. Of course aske your Dr. what his thoughts are.

My 3-yr-old son has rashes on his tighs and behind his knees - we treat him with homeopathic & herbal medicines - it's not working lately - he's highly allergic to peanuts and mildly to eggs and oatmeal - he's been scratching a lot - the doctor says (I agree and hope for) that the allergy doesn't come from outside; it would be a "bad" reception from his body and, if I take this or that from his diet, he'll become more and more sensitive to anything (I know some people like this - including myself) - I don't want cut everything that contains eggs (like bread, cookies) 'cause I'm not sure that eggs are the culprit (why he has sometimes and not always?) - I don't think it'll be a fun place, but now I don't know anymore - any suggestions?

My son has eczema and it flared up when I started him on finger foods. My chiropractor tested him and found he is sensitive to oats, barley, eggs and dairy. I had to cut these items out of my diet since I'm breastfeeding. We have had much success with http://nmt.md/PatientIndex.cfm. You can access the website to find a practioner near you. Our practioner is the first one listed. We learned the food isn't the main culprit. My son is highly sensitive to stress, emotional upset and even a cold or teething can be a problem. His body attacks itself when facing any of these issues and certain foods will cause an allergic response. The treatments strenghten his system and he is less sensitive. Happy to hear you aren't suppressing his symptoms with medicine. Hope this helps and good luck.
HI, my daughter had these same symptoms and we did not find out until she was much older that what was causing the rashes, eczema etc. was an allergy to wheat. Gluten is the protein found in wheat, oats, barley and some other grains. Once we cleared her of Gluten, the rashes cleared and she hasn't had any problems with it since. She ended up with chronic fatigues by the time we found answers. We had seen many physicians who told us that she had allergies but none tested for gluten. You can test for this several ways but the easiest and most effective way is to just eliminate it from the diet. The rash will clear if this is the cause. Another allergy she had at the time was casein found in dairy products (cows milk) She had to go off several foods while she healed her gut. Eventually she was able to introduce everything but wheat back into her diet. I would highly suggest going through this process. If you'd like to learn more about how to do this, I can send you to some resources.

My company make a product called Renew that beats Eucerin hands down for capped, cracking, skin. I had eczema for years and got rid of it using this product. Also, I now wash my clothes and bedding in a non-toxic laundry detergent and use non-toxic fabric softner, non-toxic brightener, and a non-toxic spot remover. My itchy skin just stopped itching. I live in the north end of San Bernardino so if you would like a sample, please give me a call. ###-###-#### I know your poor kiddo must be going insane with the itch. You'll see immediate relief and eventually it heals and stops.
I just saw our pediatrician today and also asked him why my 4 year old daughter was itchy, and he said it was just dry skin.
Could be eczema...my 7 month old daughter has it off and on due to environment change...my doctor perscribed hydrocortizone 1%...you can get it otc...it's worth a try
