I would highly recommend Irini Veronikis at St John's. She's an endocrinologist; I go to her for my thyroid, but I know she also takes diabetes patients.
Hello fellow moms,
I am in desperate need of some help in finding some doctors. My husband's insurance plan has changed, so if anyone could recommend some great doctors in the fields of Endocrinology-Diabetes, Family Medicine, and Ob-Gyn it would be appreciated. That would be a god send. I would appreciate any and all advice. I am located in St. Louis, MO
Thank you all so much,
FS

At St. John's there is a doctor by the name of Neela Senkottoiyan (Dr. Neela). I have known her through her Internal Medicine Residency and she left to do her specialty in Endocrine-diabetes. My physician moved and she took over his practice. This was wonderful for me. She has aggressively attacked my diabetes and she patiently answers any and all questions I have. Good luck!
My husband is diabetic and sees Dr. Robert Saltman at BJC West.
I just recently started seeing Dr. Scott Groesch for primary care and I am a worshipper like everyone else I know. It took quite a while to get in for the first time though. I have also gone to the Grant Street Clinic or something like that when I've had more "urgent" needs and didn't have a regular dr. I also know several people who use drs. there.
My OB-Gyn is Dr. Jacqueline Turner whose office is just south of Forest Park. Her partner is Dr. Rosanna Gray-Swain (she delivered my baby becuase Dr. Turner was out of the country), I like them both very much.
Good luck!
What plan are you on and where are you?
