Do Your Kids Share Clothes?

My daughters are 21 months apart but (luckily!) where the same size clothes and shoes!

It's to the point, I don't know who's clothes belong to whom, they share all the time! (Kind of nice, I never had a sister to share clothes with, but I used to steal my little brothers cool action figure shirts all the time, LOL!!)

Do your kids share clothes?

What can I do next?

My kids are 13 months apart (girl then boy) and I have some hand me downs for my son that my daughter wears. I also have my son in some of the more neutral things that I had for my daughter. I see nothing wrong with it. I used to steal clothes from my older and younger sisters.

Yes, absolutely! My boys are 2 years apart and I have recucled everything I can...lil' sis has even benefited from some of their sweet Levis (cutest cut-off shorts, EVER) and cool kicks (black&white Pumas) and awesome hoodie-sweatshirts.

Waste not - Want not.
Right?

Hi R.-

My daughters are all shorter than me, but we have the same shoe size (9 or 9.5 depending). Evidently, they like my taste and steal ....I mean borrow them frequently.

Also, much of my jewelry seems to be on 'permanent' loan!! Scarves too...

Mine will be 4 years apart, so probably not.

My twin nieces do (2 yrs old), but do so begrudingly. They are hilarious about what they wear. They share a closet, but I swear they remember "who bought what for whom". I love hearing them bicker over it in the mornings when we visit- makes me laugh and reminds me of the way their mom and I used to fight over clothes!

In my house growing up... three girls... yup, we shared. The rule, though, was that you had to ask the "owner" first. My younger sister was notorious for showing up at a school function or practice wearing something of mine knowing full well I wouldn't say a word to her in public. At home... not the case! As we got older, our shapes changed and we can't really share anymore, but it was fun in HS to have double the wardrobe!

My two older girls are five years apart and they share shirts. They can't share pants because they have different sizes in those. My oldest is really small and my middle girl is tall like daddy, but I'm still amazed they wear the same size shirt!

Yep, mine do but they are twins and sisters. I don't usually buy the same thing for them though. I love to find the same outfit in different colors or patterns!

Well, I quess, sort of. If my 5yo is out of clean jammies, I've been known to snag some from her 8yo brothers drawers.

My sons are 3.5yrs apart, but are shaped so differetnly that my 6yr old can wear my 9yr olds shirts the day he outgrows them, so they go right from one closet to the other. JEans are another issue, my 6yr old only wears a 6, but my 9yr old wears a 12 slim, so those get put into a bin and saved.

My daughter is 4 and she's small, but things like overalls and certain shirts I save for her from the boys too.

I stored all my sons clothing then I had a girl kept it all, stored all of her clothing/shoes had another girl.So whenever I need to change clothes out for the season all the ones that have been worn go into the garage sale, donate pile or trash she is on her last set of winter clothes. So yes they share clothes but they are hand me downs, the ones they do share are dress up clothing.

No. My older girls are pretty much the same size though one is slightly curvier than the other. They get mad at each other if I accidentally give one the others clothes. It does help though that one is more girly than the other and prefers more feminine stuff. With their school pants, I put the first letter of their name so no problems there.
I warned them that when I lose weight, I might take their clothes. My revenge. They are almost as tall as me.

My 9YO twin DD's occasionally share clothes but usually it's unintentional with items they have the same of (like summer camp t- shirts). The funny thing is, one is about 4" taller than the other and is 3 shoe sizes ahead, so she's actually giving her twin sister "hand me downs"!

The closest we come in my house to clothes sharing is when my daughter (10) steals her brother's (12) sweatpants or basketball shorts.

Yes, soap works so I know the clothes are clean when they come out of the dryer. They can even be used on wounds at that time if there was an emergency, they are clean. Even underwear and socks get clean from soap....

Greg and Nick are about 26 months apart. Nicky's only ONE HALF size behind Greg in shoes.

They can wear the same shirts but cannot wear the same pants.

They share jackets and hoodies as well..

My two younger girls often wear the same clothes and we often mix up whose are whose. My youngest daughter is somewhat tall, or rather she's normal for her age, but my middle daughter is petite and only in the 25th% or lower. My eldest daughter is petite as well, but is still a bit too big to share with her sisters although she does pass down some clothes.

It's definitely a benefit to having all girls.
