Do You Have to Know the "Flying Crane" Yoga Move to Clean Your Shower?

I HATE my shower... well I like it.. I just hate to clean it. I can't just open the door and clean it. I have to have a step stool (or climb over the bath tub and step on the ledge that I really should not step on) to get over the glass wall area to get the head of the shower to spray water over the walls. So then I can climb back down spray the walls with cleaner and then reach all stretched out to try and scrub the walls, without getting bleach on me or my clothes. Then I get to climb back up and over everything to get the water to spray back on the walls to wash the cleaning stuff off. Sometimes I even have to take my bathroom trash can up with me on the climb to help rinse the walls off. It is so annoying. I hate cleaning the darn thing. Then when I get to cleaning the floor part of the shower I have the door swinging and hitting me in the butt causing my rear to get all wet. Sometimes I remember to use the trash can to prop the door open but then all the water runs down the door and onto the floor - causing another mess. Finally get to close the door up and turn water on again and do the climb one last time (with the trash can) just so I can fill the trash can up with water and dump over the door to get enough water pressure to clean the last of the product up on the floor. Ugh... I hate cleaning my shower.

Anyone else? :)

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I havne't figured out the standing in shower to clean. B/c I need water to rinse and then do again. So then I end up wet and cold while I do the second scrub down?

This shower is a single person stall that is just awkwardly shaped....

Oh ya - and my husband is AWLAYS gross when he goes to shower so I have dirt, grease, oil, grass, etc.. and you name it.. it is stuck to my shower walls. So definitly necessary for 2 scrubbings :)

I clean the shower when I shower so I don't have to worry about ruining clothes. I scrub the shower down really well, then wash myself. It's just easier that way, at least for me. I was tired of ruining clothes or ending up soaking wet myself. Since I have really long hair I just pin it up so I don't get the cleaner in it. That stuff isn't good for hair anyway.

First of all, you are hilarious.

Secondly, I don't know what you look like, but I have always had a picture of you in my mind. Now, I picture you with a shower door hitting your rear, your frustrated face cursing it, and a wet butt. You made my day.

I vote for climbing in naked- cleaning the shower- and then cleaning you!!

I try and make it the last thing I do. Clean the rest of the house, take off my clothes and through them straight into the wash machine and then climb in and clean the shower!

Done and Done!

We have a shower nozzle with a hose, so I can take it off the wall to spray down the walls. The best thing I found lately is my Shark steam cleaner. I got a brand new one at a garage sale for $10! So I thought if it's not worth all the hype, I'm not out anything. Well, let me tell you, the soap scum MELTS off the walls! I just wipe it down gently with a cloth as I go and it's clean and sanitized in one step! Totally worth full price!

When I clean my shower (I never use bleach though) I will just strip down to my birthday suit and get right in there and clean like never before and then I turn on the water and rinse the shower out and soap up and voila - shower is clean and I am clean
If you switch to less toxic and harmful cleaners its not a worry to get a bit of splashback on you if you are just going to soap up and rinse off in minutes anyway
Good Luck
