I'm looking for a PCP that is easily accessible (preferably same day sick appointments), is knowledgable, cares about their patients, and will really analyze a patient's situation to determine what ails them (just doesn't say "I don't know" or send you for more and more tests only to say 'oh well...it wasn't that...I don't know...') Does such a PCP exist?
I love my PCP - David Lilienthal - he's in Jefferson. He sometimes talks to fast, but he really cares about his patients and isn't afraid to refer if something is beyond his expertise. He diagnosed a heart condition in me that other doctors had written off as stress/nerves/etc. my entire life!
Just to eliminate one, i see dr. rozen at preferred primary care phys. and while she is nice if i want to get in same day i usually only manage to see the nurse practioner.
She, along with most doctors, have dismissed my opinion when its not common idea, even though i think it would be easy to test for, but i know most doctors will too so i haven't bothered to try and change. I will check this page to see if anyone has found any great ones :)
I use one in mcmurray. Waterdam family medical practice. Dr. Mittell. They only do same day appts, which is nice in some ways but a pita in others lol. He has 2 np on staff too. Very nice, I'm happy there!
