Do You Have a "DOH"! Moment of the Day?!

LOL Cheryl, thanks, I absolutely needed the chuckle :)

For me, I was following a trail of cottony fluff, thinking 'what on earth?!'... so I kept picking it up, following, picking it up, it led to the baby, so I picked him up and I'm looking all around him, behind him, etc... the baby was pulling the fluff out of his splint!! ROMAN!! Grrr... Took me way too long to put 2 and 2 together though! COFFEE PLEASE!

LOL @ anybody who thought this splint was going to last.

I have two little ones, and at the playground or McDonalds or wherever they are allowed to run, they are always running in different directions. It seems that I am always searcing a crowd of kids for one or the other of them, and start to worry when I can't see the youngest.

And it generally turns out that I don't see her running around, because I'm holding her.

She's two, and weighs about 27 lbs. You'd think I'd notice that I was holding her, wouldn't you?

This happens just about EVERY day.

Frantically looking for my keys inside day care. I searched in the baby's carseat, under toys, in the older child's classroom - I even enlisted the help of the workers. Five minutes later, I realize the keys were still in my car, as I had left it on to keep it cool.

DOH!!!!!!

I thought I smelled a poopy diaper. I checked both my daughters, and they were fine. My son was at the other end of the building in therapy. When I went to pick him up, they told me he had pooed but they didn't see an extra Pull-up for him. My internal dialogue was like something from an episode of Friends.

Joey-me: "Boy, I must have smelled the diaper from across the building! Like a sixth sense!"
Chandler-me: "Scent would be one of the five."

And that is why I was maniacally laughing to myself while changing my son's poopy diaper.

Haven't had one yet, but don't worry, one will come in no-time.

I've forgotten to turn the coffee maker on plenty of times. I get the water in there, the grounds in there, and then 10 minutes later I go "Um, so where's my coffee" and I look and I forgot to turn it on. But not this morning. I did good this morning. :)

How about putting my cell phone in a cup holder full of lemonade that leaked out of a paper cup. Yes I have a new phone.

Why my truck wouldnt start... Turns out I was trying to use my housekey which looks nothing like my truck key, than I pulled out of the garage, and drove off....Leaving the garage door wide open, noone home I was the last to leave and 5 min later I got a call from the alarm company letting me know the police were on their way.... Today is one of those days that if my head wasnt attached I would have lost it!

I just got up but I have head slaps daily.......

My 9yo has been coming up with a LOT of questions of a sexual nature lately. Okay fine, it the age, friends, whatever.

Nope. He forgot to clear my history on my computer. He's been sneaking Family Guy (AAAAAARRRRGH) while I'm asleep.

Insert me spluttering tasmanian devil style mom ticked-off-ishness. It's a GOOD thing he's sleeping right now or he'd be grounded until he's 30. FORTY! Family Guy??? And that I don't even LIKE that stupid show, and now have to go watch it to find out what HE'S been watching.... argh. I'm just FURIOUS with him right now. And people who make cartoons for adults. And my husband for watching adult programming while my son is up, and my dog for stealing my slippers again, so my feet are cold. Yes. I'm so ticked off EVERYTHING is ticking me off. But mostly I'm so furious with my son I could spit.

GEE... Where have those Qs been coming from?

So I"m cooking dinner last night.
It was a crazy busy evening.
My daughter is doing homework.
Good.
Then I realize... 'WHERE IS MY SON?"
Then the doorbell rings. No one is there.
Again I wonder, WHERE is my son?
My daughter doesn't know either.
I am calling and calling for him.
He WAS outside.... pulling a joke on me, he thinks, and is laughing at me from behind the bushes. Because I looked all stressed out.
I tell him stop it, and go back to cooking.
He comes back inside.
Playing inside.
Fine.
Then he disappears again....
OMG
then the next second... he is screaming because... he fell down in the yard... from atop a 3 foot garden wall.
OMG.
I felt like an idiot.
Because, I could not keep track of him and was just focused on finishing dinner by a certain time. For before Hubby came home.
Then Hubby comes home, and WONDERS 'WHY" his Wife is all... looking frazzled.
My son.
Again.

(mind you, our yard is all fenced in).

THEN: the other day I was grocery shopping... and wondering WHY everything was blurry. I wear glasses. THEN I realize.... I had on my READING glasses, not my prescription glasses.
