My family enjoys hiking together, biking and just being outside. Last weekend we hiked at the Delaware Water Gap. My saw a non poisonous snake a small frog. We crossed a creek and saw some fish. Today we biked in the neighborhood with the kids.
The weather this past couple of days in gorgeous! Perfect tor hanging outside

Yay for outdoorsy parents, C.. There are studies that show that even 20 minutes walking in nature helps center and settle children's emotions. I know that when my grandson and I spend part of the day outside, romping, throwing sticks in puddles, watching leaves fall, listening to the wind and birds, feeling breezes and sun on our skin, we both feel wonderful.

Yep. We tend to spend at least 8 hours a day outside, even if it's just reading on the porch or doing school at the park (we homeschool). But in the winter it tends to be snowboarding from 6am-4pm, and in the summer it's swimming/sailing (or surfing if we're at *sandy* beaches... NW beaches are cold and rocky). Fall and spring we do a lot of hikes and camping.

Hi C.
Yes we are outdoorsey people,we love nature and love that we are passing this onto our son.
As I work full time we enjoy the weekend outdoors. As we live in Ireland you cannot predict the weather. This doesn't stop us putting on our coats for walks along the beach, taking off our shoes and walking in the sea.
We go to the lake and my son feeds the ducks and swans with bread. We go to the forests and I love how my son explores and asks questions about everything he sees.
I think having and giving ones children lots of fresh air keeps the family healthy and happy. It eases every day stresses.
I ,my husband and son would not be able to spend all day in our house. We would start to feel claustaphobic I think.
It's lovely to pass the time,in all weathers, out and about, away from the city and towns and being in the pruity of nature.
Positive vibes

We are very outdoorsey being as we live in Minnesota. All summer we fish, boat, bike, and swim. In the fall we deer hunt and bear hunt. And in winter we snowmobile, ice fish, and sled.
Its nice being able to enjoy every season outside with the family.

I'm kind of in the city, so no nice places to hike (like the water gap!) without a significant drive, but my son (9 months) bangs the door to be taking outside. Twice a day we go do something outside.

Winter is going to be hard, but I'm sure we will figure something out.
