Do Comfy, Warm, Non-frumpy Pajamas Exist? LOL

i don't get it.

there are literally thousands and thousands of warm fleece, flannel and cotton pjs and nighties on the market in a rainbow of colors and styles.

i admit that when i'm wanting to feel toasty and snuggly i could give a rat's patootie about being 'attractive', and i sleep in the nude so don't have a ton of pajamas.

but i see adorable styles in the stores, and way more online.

the days of being stuck with whatever they're selling at the local department store are long gone.

I think flannel night gowns are romantic and very attractive.
I like cotton knit pjs in the summer.

I've got to wonder - does Hubby care how attractive his pjs are?

Functional is attractive.
Impractical and uncomfortable is not.

I love the Vera Wang collection - material is soft and there's lots to choose from!

They've also had some really cute flannels during the winter! Don't despair!

Personally I tend to buy whatever is on sale, and treat myself to a new pair every Christmas so don't give it a lot of thought however ...

They have the newer kinds of flannel that drape (they cost a tad more - even LL Bean sells them, I've gotten some from VS too) or do the flannel bottoms and wear the ribbed henley style tops.

AS my husband always says, it's not what you look like in the pajamas, it's when you're out of them that counts :)

I say go for comfort.

I've done far better with "dorm pants" (either cotton or fleece) and a long-sleeved t-shirt or even a light sweatshirt than I have with typical pajamas. I've been known to roll out of bed in my dorm pants, throw on a coat, and head out to walk the dog. My husband wears fleece pants all the time. We both work at home most of the time so we go for comfort.

Look in the active wear section (exercise wear) instead of the "intimate" department and you'll do better. There are a lot of really soft sweatshirt materials that are comfortable and also warm. Plus, warm stuff is going on clearance as spring approaches, and so is typical "dorm" wear for college students (who tend to wear those types of things rather than pajamas to head down the hall to the dorm bathroom) as they head toward the end of the semester.

I've found good deals at Marshall's and Target.

I wear jammie pants and a tee shirt pretty much year round. Depending on the temp it might be jammie pants that are thick or really thin. Then I have spaghetti strap tanks to long sleeve worn out tee shirts that I've cut the neck out of so it's not binding.

Kohls has a lounge wear line and I just purchased top and bottom pjs a few weeks ago. They are very soft, a "medium" on the warm scale (which is nice, I can probably wear them 3 seasons instead of just winter), and the price point was good on sale with a coupon. The tops and bottoms were sold separately, so you could mix and match. They aren't frumpy or cutesy, just bottoms that are rolled a little at the ankle with drawstring/elastic waist (I got the grey plaid), and the top I picked was just a solid color grey. You can answer the door with them on (wearing a bra underneath) for the mailman or UPS guy and be totally fine.

Amazon has a variety of women's pajamas - see if any of those look good to you.

My husband LOVES it when I wear flannel. He finds them to be very sexy, but I guess it's all a matter of opinion.

Target has lots of pj's that aren't the plaid print but similar material.

Victoria's Secret has nice lightweight flannel. Soft and warm but not so bulky. If your budget allows look online at Nordstrom, Bloomingdales and Neiman Marcus, you'll find plenty of nice stuff there.

i have a pair of flannel PJs that Tyler just LOVES!!! (smiles) it's an oversized shirt so it gives the impression I'm wearing my husband's shirt and a pair of lounge pants. MY HUSBAND loves them....I think I got them at Kohls. I'll have to check the label and see.

I buy the Simply Vera Wang at Kohls for our wicked humid summers here in Georgia!
