Looking for suggestions of places to stay in Disneyworld with a 2 year old? And any other activities besides the theme parks that may be of interest?
Thanks in advance

Stay on Disney property. in the long run it's cheaper and you also don't have to pay the 14$ a day parking at Disney.
check out

Downtown Disney and Disney Marketplace has some great shops and restaurants. There are some little fountains and water activities for the kids at the Disney Marketplace. There's a neat candy store that's themed around the witch from Snow White. Rainforest Cafe is a really neat place to eat. You could definitely spend a day in those areas without having to pay an admission or parking fee.
Have a good time! :)

If you stay on Disney property then other places may just be the pool at the hotel. We have a timeshare so what we did was trade a week for right near Disney. Honestly for other options you have to decide what you want to do. For us we just do Disney for the week. There are other theme parks in the area and other things to do. Have fun!! We will be going back in a few years we LOVE Disney World!!

Our kids are much older, but we always stay on property at Old Key West. A little more expensive than a hotel, but they have little kitchens that you can stock and have a place to get back to for naps and some meals.

And I think I remember there were always some simple organized kid activities kinda like little mini-camps.

Someone mentioned allears.net. Also check out www.mousesavers.com. They have tons of tips and tricks, and all of the latest deals and discounts on their site. You will find everything you need between these 2 sites, either on the site or linked to another site.

I think you are safe with almost any resort or hotel around Disney. We've stayed at Port Orleans and All Star Music (in the family suite). They are both great, but I have heard that they are ALL great.

I would consider taking your daughter to Sea World if you have the chance. She'd enjoy it at her age. Also, just take half a day (or a whole day) and wander around Downtown Disney. Be sure to check out the Lego shop. You can build race cars and race all of the other people making them. My kids had a blast there. It's just a nice, laid-back way to spend some time down there.

Have fun on your vacation!! We LOVE going to Disney.

We always stay at the Embassy Suites in Lake Buena Vista. We love it. It is not on Disney, but very close by. With a 2 year old, it is nice to be in a suite, so after you put the little one to bed, you can hang out in the other room. They also have a great, cook to order free breakfast, and a little happy hour--both free. Plus, this was just recently renovated. When we stayed there last year we were amazed how nice it was. Perfect place for us.
