We are going to Disneyland with our 5 year old. Which is better there? A Disney stroller or a large stroller?

What can I do next?

If I had to choose I would opt for using the parks stroller for any kid from 2-4.

Why does a 5 year old need a stroller? None of my kids would have any part of a stroller at 5. I took my son to Disney World at 6 and no stroller was needed. Even at 5 no stroller necessary.

Have fun at Disney.

I've never been there but I would think that at 5 your kiddo might like to just walk by him/herself. If you want to carry things with you, there are some great travel backpacks that are lightweight but a hold a lot, like waters for everyone and a change of clothes.

When you say Disney stroller I assume you mean renting one? We brought our own to Disney. If your flying the airlines don't count it as a piece of luggage. And the stroller we had at the time had tons of storage on it.

umbrella stroller if child is older then a year. light weight to fold up for tight spaces and not something that 1000+ people have used before you

I would take your own...

My main thing is you don't know WHO sat in those strollers before your kid... I wonder how many kids poop and pee all over them, how many hands have pushed them, etc. Even if they sanitize them, you don't know how good of a job they do... There isn't much of a way to sanitize the seat part, unless it's hard plastic or metal, which would NOT be comfortable for kiddo.

If you have to, I would even pick up one of those $20 cheapie ones to use for the day, then give it away or drop off at a goodwill when you are done.

If you can get your 5 year old to sit in one i would rent one of the ones Disneyland has and save taking it with you (unless you're driving and have room.)

The reason I say "if" is because my guy was 2 years and 4 months when we went last August and hated sitting in one, though I did make him between long walks to different sections of the park and for the fireworks.

A 5 yr old? I would get a Disney stroller. I know my strollers at home wouldn't support my 5y.

we brought a light weight folding stroller on the plane and to Disneyworld. i know they charge a lot for strollers at disneyworld. We hung a little cooler on the back of the stroller and it was great and saved a ton of money to have our own snacks and stroller.

I just did Disneyland with my 5 year old earlier this month and what we did was rent one. It was easy enough to leave about while getting on and off rides and never once had an issue keeping our items with the stroller the entire time. We were there from opening until closing as well so it was greatly needed by my 5 year old at the end of the night. I have previously brought my own before the only reason I did not this time around is I didn't have the room to pack the stroller as I was visiting on vacation.
