Disney on Ice for a 3 Year Old?

My husband and I are trying to decide whether to spring for Disney on Ice tickets for our three year old (and 10 year old son). Her birthday is around the same time a the show in our city, but we are trying to decide whether three is a good age or if we should wait a couple of years.
She still doesn't like the scary parts in the Disney movies and I am kind of expecting that there will be something like that in the show.
Has anyone seen it and is this the case?
What are the thoughts?
Thanks in advance!!

Just got back from taking my not quite 2.5 year old son. The first half I thought he liked it then they came back from intermission. He was so excited about the Peter Pan story! He was squealing with delight. When he gets up from a nap he will tell daddy all about Peter Pan and Tinker Bell. It was a great "date" for the two of us.

GO!! We've gone every year since she was two - even dragged my son along til he was 8 (then he got to where he begged NOT to go). She will LOVE it. DON"T get the seats right down on the ice - the closer you are, the less you see the whole picture, and the more you can see the wig tape, etc. We usually get seats in the cheapest section, tho I call to order the exact seats I want (3/4 way up, section 16, on the aisle....) GO! Have fun! :D Make sure she dresses up in her princess regalia or she'll feel left out! We always make a date of it with dinner before, btw, and ONE treat ($20 for cotton candy or $10 for snow cone? r u kidding?!). HAVE FUN!

I took our daughter when she was three. She enjoyed it, but she didn't really have the attention span. I think she enjoyed trips to the bathroom as much as the show. A bit of sensory overload, I think, so she wanted the breaks. I don't remember anything scary about the performance.

If I had to do it again, I would have waited just one more year. Kids change dramatically from three to four and she would have gotten more out of it if I'd waited.

My thoughts on this are that any Disney production is exceedingly pricey - Your ten-year-old will undoubtedly enjoy, but it is highly unlikely that your soon-to-be three-year-old will even remember this outing. Save your money for something that does not involve you or her dad having to tell her to hush so that others may enjoy the show.

We took our girls when they were 3 and 18 months and they LOVED it! Of course, the little one napped through a story she wasn't interested in, but my 3 year old was *mesmerized* and totally obsessed for the next 3 months!

I say go for it.

I took my son with some friends when our kids were all 3. They loved it! No scary parts either. My son is now 6, he remembers it well and still talks about it!

We have taken our son to a few of them, I agree sneak in a snack cause it's expensive! I paid 12$ for a cotton candy! I also dont remember any scary parts. I would add if it's in your budget try and get the closest to the rink! We have always say on folding chairs right on the ice and it was awesome! I have so many pics of my son getting to touch some of the characters, well worth the extra $$

My daughter loved it! She saw the one 2 februaries ago when she was 2.5 and then again when she had just turned 3-
The princess one. There was a witch during sleekly beauty - but it wasn't so bad! She still talks about the ice shows and wants to go again-
She just turned 4 and it has been a year since she went last! We plan to buy her tix for Xmas because the show is January around us. Not sure she would be as into it if it wasn't the princess one though :)
Good luck!

Disney on Ice for a 3 yr old? YES YES and YES again! My girls have been to the princess show 3 or 4 times and the around the world show from 2yrs old and up. They're now 8 and 10 and have grown out of it, but we took their little cousin a couple of years ago when she wasn't 3 yet and she also LOVED it.

I took my daughter to Disney Princess on Ice when she was like 4 and she loved it. I don't remember any points that would have been scary at all. They also had mickey and minnie there and I think a couple of others.

L.,
Disney is great at any age. We've been to 3 shows 'on Ice' and left the stadium each time very satisfied. When they skate out a Disney movie, they follow the story line. This is when you see how creative their set designers can be! And chances are you know the movie by heart, so you'll know when something scary might happen. They bring out all our favorite characters before and after the 'movie' part of the show.
We took our little ones to Hercules. The 3-headed hydra was beautiful and scary at the same time. Simply put...Disney=magic.
Take your kids and enjoy the show!
