Hi,
My dishwasher has recently not been rinsing great. There is a film on everything- the glasses seem cloudy and the silverwaer honestly seems just not clean. I have added rinse aid and it has not helped. Is there any maintenance you know about, any tricks that have worked for you?? Please help. Thanks!!!

What can I do next?

Couple things to try . . .

1. Make sure your water heater is heating water up to 120F
2. Try the Jet Dry dishwasher cleaner - you may need to do it twice to breakdown and remove build-up.
3. I usually add 1/2 cup white vinegar to the wash, before starting, and sometimes during the rinse cycle - helps for crystal clear dishes and smell free plastic ware.
4. As a last resort, because it's involved and messy, take the machine apart and wash-it out.

Hope one of the 1st 3 work!

Try doing a cycle with vinegar to clean off the grime.

Ditto on the vinegar. I just tried this the other day, it was the only thing that worked.

I used to have that problem but I use a product called lemon shine. It is next to the dishwasher detergents. Follow the directions, it is absolutely wonderful. You use it every load along with your regular detergent. It really works wonders and my dishes are beautiful.
