Digital Camera for a Almost Four Year old...recommendations Please :)

My dd is constantly using my phone and posting bizarre pictures to my FB account. Time for her own camera.

Anything good quality and cheap out there? We would even do a "real" non-"kids" camera...we just want an easy point and shoot...what do you think is better for a child, a "kid" or "real" camera?

Thanks so much!

P.s I have been searching Amazon and there is waaay too many choices lol your advice/recommendation greatly appreciated.

ADDED: Oh, for goodness sakes, must I always add extra responses to those who challenge (usually people who need to read more slowly and understand the statement made); My 3 year old (who is ASD) I let take pictures (supervised) with my smart phone. Autistic children are extremely bright, so she managed to figure out a way to go throught the FB app (which she has no idea what FB IS, it just happened to be savvy enough to be able to do that)....so what's the problem? Don't YOU have kids that figure things out better than you can? These days kids can, especially special needs kids...no biggie, people..I was just trying to make a light joke..it happens, lol
If you would like to see if it is "BS" as someone was kind enough to accuse me of, feel free to see my Suzy Mac FB page. :)

What can I do next?

Wow- no way my four year olds could post to Facebook (nor would I let them, actually) but ey do have cameras and love them. My mom bought them closeout Nikon Coolpics ones for their fourth birthday. They're adult cameras but my kids have no problem using them and know to treat them gently. I opted for real cameras rather than kiddie ones because the picture quality on the kid ones was awful.

I would go with a kid camera. Even a responsible child will break an adult camera. My daughter has a iCarly, it is a piece of poop but it does what she wants it to do. Take pictures and transfer them to the computer.

Ahh, I have a sort-of non recommendation. My neice (9 years old) has a older kids camera (I know it's pink and not a toddler camera). It uses AA batteries, which is fine. But when she drops it, the door for the batteries always opens (it's on the bottom) and the batteries fall out. And on her camera, when the batteries fall out, the memory automatically erases and she loses all her pictures. She gets very frustrated.

I wish I could remember the brand (sorry), but it is something to look out for and avoid. Personally, I'm considering getting my 5 year old a used real camera from Craiglist.

I bought my girls a closeout model of a Kodak with 10 X zoom from Office Depot. I just keep it set on the ISO mode for them. I also bought the 2 years worth of insurance. For an extra $15 they can drop and break it and as long as we turn the pieces back in, they will be given a credit for what I paid.

My son has the Vtech camera. It has taken a beating and still works great. The pictures are decent and it also has a couple games on it.

Definitely go with a "real" camera. Try Craigslist.org. first. That's where we would post our older cameras that still worked great - just upgraded ourselves!

My kids (4 & 2 1/2) love their kiddie cameras. We have kidizoom (I think that name is right) cameras. We bought them at walmart. We have the "older kid" version for our 4 year old. He can take photos, shoot video, edit shots to add designs (hats, funny face, etc) and he can play games. It comes with 3 or 4 games. The games are really easy, yet entertaining. The picture quality is not very good, but for us that doesn't really matter, most of the time he doesn't even look when he takes the picture.
Good luck with your choice.
