Don't know of any other sites like this, and I'm with Jim - don't have any desire to sit and read blogs.
But I am also one that seems to regularly ruffle feathers. And I have spoken to at least one regular who truly believes I'm a woman (specifically another regular). That's ok. A little funny, but doesn't bother me. (I have offered proof to anyone and everyone - phone calls/pic/etc, but no takers)
However, that's all about me. What do I really think of the interaction? I don't think I really have any thoughts about it. Some (myself included) are pretty concise and focused on advice. Some are more focused on validating feelings. Both are important, but I think any difference between two humans can cause conflict.
There are cliques - let me rephrase - there are at least two very strong regulars who are typically at odds both philosophically and personally. Whether there are actual cliques....I have no idea. I ain't in one, so nobody really talks to me. :)
But I'm here for me. I enjoy helping others. I enjoy the feeling of solving problems. I like the focus as I am a first time parent and handbooks are hard to come by. I like the flowers (thanks). And I like the exercise it gives my brain to consider different situations and whether my principles will answer the question and stand up to "peer review".
There's lots to complain about. The complaints, however, just don't outweigh the benefits for me. Kinda like a rose garden - beautiful roses or stinky fertilizer. What you look at and appreciate is your own choice.
ETA - **blushes** - thanks dawn! You're pretty classy yourself! :)
