Try the new hydroxycut, it is now ephedrine free so it shouldn't make you feel jittery. You could also try mega T, green tea tablets.
My son is almost 2 now and the "I just had a baby" excuse is not working for me anymore. I was 204 lbs (5'2") before I got pregnant and I gained 75 lbs. I've gone down quite a bit and have hit a stopping point that leaves me feeling frusterated. I only have 15 more pounds to go to hit my goal but all my working out and eating right isn't doing a thing anymore. I'm getting discouraged and really didn't want to go this route but I need some sort of boost. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good diet pill, one that won't make me feel jittery but something that works!

Hi S.,
Diet pills will only screw up your body and destroy your metabolism. It is normal for your body to come to a stand point for a while, and then you will start to lose weight again. Keep up the good work with the diet and exercise and you will lose the weight. Try to stay away from a lot of breads, and starches. Starches turn into sugar in your body. However some starches are ok. Just a minimal amount. Drink about 64 oz of water a day. Or at least tea. Stay away from cokes, and diet cokes. Carbination in sodas actually expand your stomach. Any carbinated drinks will. Try to stay away from any boxed food such as Macaroni and Cheese, any packaged rice like rice a roni etc. More raw veggies, fruit, and protein. Go on a diabetic diet, even though you're not, and you will lose the weight. You can look up a diabetic diet in Google and you'll find some helpful information. If you have any more questions that I might be able to answer, let me know. A lot of people will tell you that there are natural diet pills. That may be, but a diet pill is a diet pill and it still messes with your metabolism. I've worked in Pharmacy for 13 years, and I know about this. I've also taken diet pills before, a long time ago, and this past year, I have learned so much about what those pills can do to your body, and after talking with a surgeon/and nutritionist, I have learned that those diet pills I took, destroyed my metabolism which therefore left me gaining more weight. Oh yeah, I did lose weight, but your body ends up depending on those and your body does not lose the weight naturally, leaving you gaining weight after you stop the pills. This has been my experience and what I have learned this past year. Please rethink the diet pill, and try and stick with what you're doing now and applying the suggestions I have mentioned and see. Give your body a few more months. Also, if you choose to go with a diet pill, please talk with your doctor before doing so, and let him know exactly what you plan on trying, and what you have tried naturally to lose weight. If you do research on your own about any diet pill you're inquiring about, just remember they will not tell you all the facts, because they want to sell their product. Best wishes,G.
Hi S., I totally know where you're coming from. I've had 2 kids and lost the weight different ways both times. First time, was NOT healthy! I starved myself and took pills. Eventually that was not something I could keep doing, and like the others have said, it comes back.
This last time it took me a year from the time I started to lose 91 pounds. But I did it slowly and in a healthy way. I've maintained it for 2 yrs too with no issues! And I have a fun day on the weekend now since I'm at my maintanance weight!
I hit soooooo many plateaus I wanted to chuck the healthy way of eating and say forget it! But I just re-evaluated my eating and work outs again, and switched it up, and I started losing again. Eventually your body gets so used to what you're doing it hits a stand still.
Eat :
PROTEIN(LEAN)
VEGGIES- LOW IN SUGAR, THINK GREEN
FRUITS
WHOLE GRAINS
SOME CHEESE/NUTS
HALF YOUR WIEGHT IN WATER, SO IF YOU WEIGH 120, DRINK 60ounces
SOME TEA
SOME DIET SODA
I also allowed myself some low sugar-low carb treats every week so I wouldn't feel deprived! It worked and is still working and I feel wonderful! Good luck hun, I know its hard and can look like it'll never end, but keep it up and it will! You'll be so proud and maintain it too. Best Wishes for your success!!!!! :)
Ok I am going to be opposite from the rest. I have a awful time losing weight - I have an extremely low metabolism due to years of eating disorder where I starved myself of any fat in my diet and food. Anyhow, I just had a baby 15 mths ago - I was 45 lbs overwieght. It created so many problems for me, my knees hurt my feet hurt just so much that the doctor insisted I start taking phentermine. HOWEVER, yes it will mess with your metabolism IF you let it work in opposition for you. Meaning if you just flat out dont eat because you've lost your appetite. My doctor gave me a diet plan with it to follow, that will allow me to have the proper amount of calories for weight loss, the proper amt of fats, protein and carbs. I started in march and it is now Sept and I have lost 22 lbs - I did not starve myself and I lost slowly. I no longer take them daily - maybe every other day, sometimes I just skip weekends all together because I have to learn to continue to eat better without a diet pill. I also incorporated 45 mins of workout at least 5 usually 6 days a week and a good vigorous workout. There are days that I pig out on junk and dont watch what I eat which is normal for anyone and I never gain because my metabolism is back to normal and working as it should. As long as I am active. AGAIN as others said, do not buy this on line. Go to your doctor, they need to check blood pressure and all sorts of things. All my friends were getting them online because they were cheaper. They arent in fact your insurance my cover it. Also, taking any perscription that was bought online scares the bejebbers out of me. DONT DO IT! Just go to the doc and tell them you also want a diet plan to follow and regular check up visits. If they dont give you a diet plan I can send you the one they gave me. But I think the Phentermine people want you to follow the diet plan. Good luck it will go away but it takes time and effort.
I just wanted to send you a note to tell you that you aren't alone with the wanting to loose baby weight! It really is much harder to loose then to put on ! :) I got within 9.5 pound of my goal and have slowly watched it slip away after I gave up... I'm now 29lbs from it and am getting ready to start dieting again. don't let anyone pressure you into, or out of what you want to do. They are right that the food and drug only makes sure it's safe and not that the pill does what it's says it will, so be cautious with which you choose on that regard, however, it will be safe if it has been approved! I wouldn't pick any that has not. (keep in mind that just because it hasn't, doesn't mean it's unsafe, but I don't think I would risk it). Good luck! don't give up! You have worked way to hard to watch that goal slip through your fingers! I'm looking forward to reading a success message on here! Let me know what ends up working!
most diet drugs or pills contain some sort of stimulant (used to be ephedra) this boosts your metabolism and surpresses your appitite. They will usually all make you jittery because they also contain large amounts of caffeine too. they are basically like consuming a lot of energy drinks.
There is a new diet drug out there that the FDA just approved called Alli, I think. This is a fat blocker, I havent' tried that but it might work.
the healtiest thing to do is just change your workout routine, that is usually why people hit a wall in losing wieght.
S.,
I think Geri is right on track. Diet pills do not work. You will lose this weight and you will gain it and more back. You might not be eating enough. When you diet, your body goes into starvation mode and will hold on to the fat you have. If you are working out and building muscle, you need to be eating more. Try 4 times a day, 7, 11, 3 and 6-7. Don't eat after 7 and you should be drinking water, take your weight and divide it in half that is how many ounces you should be drinking in a day. Pills are synthetic that are made in a chemistry lab, our wonderful government allows them to make any claims on the bottle without proving or showing the research. That is why we have more cancer, heart disease, diabetes out there. Don't rely on a pill. You can do it. It's hard, but you can do it. Good luck.
Hi S.,
I had a hard time losing my baby weight too. I know that dieting can help a lot, but I didn't really start losing weight until I added some exercise. I started walking about 3 miles a day with my little one in his stroller and we both enjoyed it. It helped me go down another 10 pounds. The real weight started coming off when I joined Baby Boot Camp. The program is designed for moms! I haven't been in this good a shape since my early 20's! It's important to eat right, too, because you have to have enough energy to keep up with your 2 y.o., so be careful about drastically restricting your diet and taking diet pills! If you decide to kick up your exercise routine, be sure you do at least 1 hour of exercise (fairly vigorous exercise - about a 6 or 7 on a scale of 1-10) at least 4 days of the week. You want to be sure you get your heart rate up. Incorporating strenght training exercises will also help you expend some of your stored energy and the lean muscle mass you create will also help you burn the extra fatn. Baby Boot Camp worked great for me! I recommend it to everyone. I loved it so much that I became an A.C.E. certified Personal Trainer so I could buy the Albuquerque Baby Boot Camp Franchise!

You sound like me. I was taking Nitro Burn Extreme. Worked really well, I lost like 70lbs. But now I am stuck at my wieght and would still like to lose 20 more pounds to reach my goal. Let me know if you find something that works.
S.,
I can understand how you may feel. Please don't try any of the diet pills without any supervision. They truly will do a number on your metabolism and having to be a mom you don't won't to feel poorly. Have you ever thought, next to diet (like weight watchers) and next to exercise about an alternative like acupuncture? Acupuncture works wonderful for many illnesses and shown great results. Hope there is a practitioner close to you or maybe a friend has had a good experience. If you wish to find someone near you, you may also go on to: www. AZSOMA.org to find a qualified, licensed practitioner near you. Hope this helps!

Theres a new one thats called Alli thats supposed to be REALLY effective it's expensive but it's gotten good reviews and is really supposed to work they have a website for it you can check out and I've seen it for sale at Sam's Club.
Well, it's not a pill, but a few of my friends have had success with something called Isagenix. It's a cleansing system where you drink a shake for two meals, then have a sensible meal. I asked one friend about it and she said she honestly did not feel hungry between meals, and started to not crave the unhealthy things she craved before. One lost 55 lbs, and the other just started and has lost 10 lbs so far. If you are interested, here is the website, www.gocleanse.com/fastresults. But, regardless good luck with whatever you decide to try :)
I don't know of any diet pills, I have heard that
weight watchers works for some - Don't give up,
its the sweetest personal reward to step on that
scale and know you did it! Instead of looking at
15- try looking at 5lb milestones - it makes
things alot easier..
me: 30 year old working mom of plenty and 1 on the
way...
S.,
Have you ever tried Weight Watchers? We have Weight Watchers group in Durango. I've lost 35 lbs with them after I had my baby. The program really works and it is really affordable.
relacore. its and antianxiety and antistress pill that is over the counter, doesnt make you jumpy and kepp you up. it actually helps you sleep and works on the stress hormones that cause you to retain fat especially in the abdominal area. the instructions say take 2 caps three times a day but try on three times a day to start just to see how you do on it. I TRIED WEIGHT WATCHERS AND THE ONLY THING I LOST WAS MY GALLBLADDER. I WAS ON IT FOR 6 WEEKS AND DID EVERYTHNG TO THE BOOK . LOST 8 LBS. MY GIRELFRIEND AND I WENT TO VACATION IN HERSHEY, PA AND I WENT THROUGH TEH TOUR AT THE HERSHEY FACOTRY. THEY GIVE YOU A SAMPLE PACKAGE AND I HATE HALF A HERSHEY BAR AND THOUGHT I WAS GOIN TO DIE. I FLEW HOME THE NEXT AY AND DROVE STRAIGHT FORM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOSPITAL AND HAD MY GALLBLADDER OUT THAT AFTERNOON.
