I would call and talk to a nurse at your pediatricians office and see what they say.
My 21month old son has a diarrhea for 4 days now. He hasn't lost his appetite and is still eating and playing just like when he's not sick. He only has wet b.m. in the morning. He never experienced any fever. Do i consult his pediatrician now? I only let him eat banana and rice he drinks apple juice also.

My son used to get this for almost 2-3 weeks at a time. Our pediatrician said once the gut gets irritated, it can stay irritated for a long time after the initial source of irritation has been resolved. BRAT (Bananas, Rice, Apple sauce and Toast) helps and have him drink plenty of water and Pedialyte to keep him hydrated. Some yogurt can help reestablish some healthy bacteria in his digestive tract. As long as he stays well hydrated (wets plenty of diapers), and there's no other symptoms, there's not much to worry about other than keeping diaper rash at bay.
Just watch his hydration. My pediatrician had told us to do the "pinch test"- gently pinch the skin on the back of the hand. If it immediately bounces back, you're okay. If it is not immediate, then he may be dehydrated. As long as he's eating, but more importantly drinking fluids you should be fine! You may want to call the doctor and keep him/her in the loop, just to be safe. Little kids' "status" can change quickly.
Our doctor always tells us to call him and let him decide whether or not he needs to see our son. 90% of the time, it's a "no", but that's what they're there for!
I would do the bratty diet and see what happens. It could be teething. This happened with my older daughter when her molars were coming in. NO symptoms, no fever, not lethargic, etc. just mild diarhea. As long as he's still having wet diapers (signs he's hydrated)...I wouldn't worry too much. You could always have him drink some pedialyte too to keep him hydrated. Hope he gets well soon.
I can't say whether you should call the pediatrician or not. The fact that his attitude, appetite, energy levels & temp are normal are all very good signs that it's not serious. However, 4 days is a long time for things not to be normal. But 1 BM per day, even if it's really runny/gross, doesn't sound super serious. If he were having a lot of them, that would be more worrisome since a lot = more fluid loss = more serious problem.
apple juice actually adds to the problem if you are going to give apples it should be apples or apple sauce. I would just watch for dehydration. My oldest was sick w/ a stomach bug for almost an entire week last spring.
A stomach bug/diarrhea can last up to 2 weeks in a toddler. As long as he's acting fine with no other symptoms, it's not really concerning - just watch for dehydration. Also, apple juice causes diarrhea, so I'd back off that a little.
