Call the doc, diarrhea in a small child for that long isn't good, can be dangerous. I wouldn't wait any longer, not worth it. Or go to a clinic if it's the weekend or er.
Hi Ladies,
My 19 month old has been having diarrhea for 3 days now. I have been trying to add starchy foods (pasta, rice, wheat breat), has had chicken soup for dinner for 2 days now and trying to drink plenty of water. Today's nap was only 1 hours because he had pooped all over himself.
Do you guys have any ideas or know what has worked you and your little one?
Thanks in advance

BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast)
I hope he feels much better soon!
agreed BRAT diet, all the women in my family say this and so does our doc. i would call the doc as well.
good luck, so hard.
I would say lots of water, cheese and yogurt if his only symptom is the diarrhea. Then, call the doctor if it doesn't get better in a day or if any new symptoms appear. Good luck!
call the doc's office, they can tell you over the phone. last time my child had it they said that they could not have any food for a few hours, then they allowed the brat diet (bananas, rice, apple sauce, and toast.) usually works for vomiting too. You really should call though, it could be serious.
I know that can be scary. You need to give him pedialyte mixed with some probiotics (you can get them at the healthfood store and ask how much to give a toddler). Then, give him nonstop banana applesauce mixed with rice cereal. That will clear it up in a day. It worked when my son had horrible diarrhea for 3 days. On the third day I did what I said and it was gone the next day. He had diarrhea again a few months later and I did that from day one (did not want the banana applesauce this time) but did eat apples and whole bananas. He was fine that afternoon.
After re-reading your post, I agree with what everyone else is saying about calling your doctor or taking him to the clinic.
Hi,
A good quality probiotic can also help a great deal. I give probiotics to my kids everyday, and I take the same one they take. For my kids, I mix it in with juice, milk, cereal or applesauce. they can't taste it. Here it is:

Three days is a long time for a little one-I'd call the doc-get their opinion.
